Step back into a bygone time but fish and chips were freshly out the fryer. Fish really tasty and washed down with some bar brush. Cannae beat it. Busy wee shop but well organised and staff saw to queue in no time. Have been to their more famous neighbours but def worth a visit.

never thought we'd have to wait in the queue for that long... many came behind us .... still it was worth the wait..... the fish was excellent and the chips were real... also we walked down to the harbour to eat them and they stayed hot to the end.... and no more expensive than any other outlets

There is good reason that the queue goes out the door and down the street. The service is efficient and friendly. The fish is freshly fried to order. No seating but we took ours down to the harbourside where there is plenty .

Walking into the fish and chip shop is like stepping back in time as the decor looks like it hasn't changed for years, but this was part of the place's charm.
We didn't quite know how good the food would be but there was quite a big queue of people in front of us so that's always a good sign.
The fish and chips were beautiful and we sat in the evening sun on a bench overlooking the sea. Lovely. We would get fish and chips there again on another visit.
