Was driving from Venice to Rome over the course of a few days and didn't have reservations every night. Pulled over to the side of the road to book something quickly as we'd almost slept in our car the night before. Searched for agriturismi on google and somehow Relais Falisco appeared. I booked it, think it was an agriturimo (according to google, not the hotel website).
We started driving into a town and my mother and I were both wondering why we were driving INTO a town, instead of into the country. Went right into the center of the town and realized something was awry. Mum went inside and spoke to someone. Although my reservation was nonrefundable, the man didn't bat an eye and credited my credit card. My mother thanked him profusely because he truly didn't need to refund my reservation. Places like this need to be shared as they are moving Italy's (and Europe's) poor customer service reputation in the right direction.
Grazie to Hotel Relais Falisco! :)More
