I loved this pub. Its how they should be. People who criticise this pub don't understand what they should be and that is about the beer and the people. The Six Bells has both these in spades. The beer is very tasty and there should be a strength and style to suit most pallets. The people are very friendly and the size and layout of the bar assists complete strangers to get to know each other - surely that is one of the main points of a pub. Go its brilliant !

After working out way down from the top of the village and being to all the other bars in town, I felt a little let down with this one. It's a lovely old pub with a great inglenook fireplace, but the seating is a little strange, very bright lighting and not much atmosphere. Couple of locals in there, but they left early, then it was just us. Chatty bar staff and very friendly but we only stayed for one.

Looked after by the local choral society in between the rehearsal and the concert. The pub supplied us with a lovely sandwich buffet with delicious soup and cakes to follow. Enjoyed a lovely local beer.

Friendly welcome from staff in the bar. A warm sanctuary on a cold night.

A lovely little pub that I have visited quite a few times over the years. It's a warm cheerful spot with a nice blend of folks. First a major plus - the food here has massively improved since I last visited: My chicken a mushroom pie was delicious and my wife's fish a chips superb. Well done. The bar-tenders were a couple of very pleasant Polish girls: attentive and fast. Now for the tiny gripes: On the last couple of visits we have been served by a girl called Abbie - a nicer bartender you couldn't wish to meet. A delightfully humorous girl who always remembered our names and our preferred drinks. Sadly I heard she had been 'let go' - a shame. Other tiny gripe - The best beer they produce is the ZEN. However, it is not always on. It should be. A great pint and that slight bit different than their other admittedly excellent brews.
