This was my first visit to this restaurant, which opened October 2nd. It is a luncheon meeting place, and an evening tête-à-tête restaurant as well. The seating is comfortable, it is quiet, and the décor is all renovated. It is now opened by Vickey and Kern Tzanopoulos. Kern is a trained Chef who adds a bit of fine touch to the dishes. This location was previously a country-side family restaurant which catered to the local families, construction workers, and the hunters who came to this area. Judging by the value for the money one gets here, this restaurant should get five stars!
We were a group of 10 ladies. We all chose the daily special, which included a broccoli & rice soup, main dish: Hamburger plate with fries (home-made) and a salad with a good dressing. The hamburger was topped with cheese, greens, and served in a large bread-roll; a chocolate square desert done with granola, almonds and a strawberry sauce, and a coffee. Everything was quite tasty. The service was efficient and friendly.
The bill was surprisingly affordable. They also have an evening Table-d'hôte for the weekend. Opening hours: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 11 am to 3 pm; Friday & Saturday: 11 am to 8 pm. Sunday: 11 am to 3 pm, closed Mondays.
