“Good soy cappuccino ”
Review of Robert Harris Cafe

Robert Harris Cafe
Ranked #2 of 2 Coffee & Tea in Pukekohe
Description: Probably the best coffee in Pukekohe. Pleasant staff, clean environment and free (though restricted) wi-fi when you purchase food and drink. You must try the bread pudding muffin cake, providing you aren’t counting the calories!

The barista was friendly and they had a plethora of menu options to choose from. I ordered a plain soy cappuccino to go. It was piping hot (just the way I like it). Had I wanted to stay, there was plenty of seating. Prices were about average for a nice coffee shop.

A Robert Harris Cafe usually does good coffee. That is what they are about so nothing strange or startling to report here. We get that NZers like to drink good coffee and so do we. However, if there are tea drinkers in your party beware that you will get a teapot with just a tea bag in it, not leaf tea as you might expect in a place like this. That was a disappointment. As for the cakes there was a reasonable selection and there was also a good selection of what might be called lunch items on display. However, I was disappointed that the selection of individual savoury items (because not everyone has a sweet tooth) was very poor considering that we were there shortly after 1000hrs. By the time we left the individual savoury items such as the small pies and sausage roll equivalents were all gone with no sign of anything being brought in from the kitchen to replace them. The coffee was good but attention to detail is required.

Typical Robert Harris Cafe, reasonable food good coffee and location, the only down side is that the cafe is a bit dark needs more lighting but still a good place to meet and eat
