Booked this on-line as I headed north just an hour before I got there. I had not planned staying in Pukekohe, but circumstances change and the place I'd stayed before was booked out.
When I'm on the road, I like a hotel/motel to offer me comfort and quiet so I can relax and work without interruption, make phone calls etc. When I saw the Counties Inn I wondered if I'd gone back to the '70's, and with it's own restaurant and bar, and a full sign up, I was not feeling good about my choice.
The front entrance and desk is a large area and all quite dated but very tidy and respectable.
Staff were very pleasant and the manager came out to assist the new girl at the desk with the email booking. They were all very pleasant and helpful.
I went to my room and that was it... although it looked out onto the carpark area, it was quiet and very clean and up-to-date. The bed was a king, and a spa bath, not that I cared about that as a good shower is all I wanted, but the room was very comfortable and clean, facilities all you need and expect these days.
