During a week-long hiking holiday we stayed here one night at the beginning of our trip and two nights at the end. The first night we had a classic room with balcony, which was spacious but rather basic – not much in the way of decoration. The last two nights we had a family room (although we were only two persons) which was bigger and had an extra bed, which we used to put our luggage on. The decoration was still a bit sparse but the room was quite big, very clean, and had all the amenities you can expect.
So from what we saw, the rooms are spacious and clean, but not quite the cosy alpine-style rooms you get in some other hotels in the area. But we enjoyed our stay at the Union nonetheless – everything worked well and the service at the reception and restaurant was very good.
We would not hesitate to stay there again.More
