Visited the olive press museum today, shows you all the old ways of processing the olives and then how it is done today. You have a chance to sample the olive oil they make at the end of the tour

As a family we really enjoyed this and learning the process good size car park, met in the car park and shown where the tour starts. A local bus runs to and from the museum/factory. We got to see a 1500 year old olive tree and the old tools and machines they used to harvest and make olive oil.

This is a really interesting place to visit. We were given a brief history of olive oil pressing and saw several presses before finding out about the up to date method of pressing olives. The Aristeon olive press is a modern, certified ecological olive oil production and standardisation unit. The short talk and tour was followed by olive oil tasting and an opportunity to purchase olive oil, soap made by thrm and also beauty products.
Highly recommended visit.

We visited with my elderly grandmother whilst with a excursion company. The visit was very informative and a great way to escape the searing heat of the day for a couple of hours. Everyone is very polite and they cant wait to give you samples at the end.
The produce in there shop is very reasonable (very un english!) and we came home with a ridiculous amount of olive oil soap! oh and oil

We enjoyed it so much, we visited it a second time.

If you enjoy olive oil in your diet or your just curious what all the fuss is about when others talk about it, then this is for you. Whether you're looking for the history, the economics or the "how it's made" then the tour and the Q&A should leave you in little doubt. Covering everything that most people would ask but also some very interesting anecdotes (which I won't spoil here).

After the tour you also have the pleasure of the tasting session revolving around the different olive products and even a little of the local wine (be careful, it's strong stuff).

Thoroughly recommended.
