My husband had hired a car for a couple of days. On the second day we called at this Olive Oil factory. There is no charge for the tour and full very knowledgeable explanation of how virgin olive oil is made and the different types. We really enjoyed our hour or so there. We did but some olive oil to take home but there was absolutely no pressure with the exit door fully open at all times.
Definitely worth a visit for adults and families.

It is the biggest olive oil factory on the island, with a museum part. You will be told about the process itself and the rules of producing oil. Then there is an opportunity to taste it: normal, orange, lemon and garlic oil. Everuthing is very tasty.

We had an interesting trip out to the olive press factory/museum. Outside the building was a selection of old farming and olive press equipment. Inside the English speaking guide talked through the process of making olive oil and products made using the oil. He talked through the process as he led us through the factory. He was very knowledgeable and made the visit well worthwhile. At the end of the visit you can sample and purchase the products. What seemed like a questionable and unexciting choice of somewhere to visit - actually turned out to be far more interesting, enjoyable and educational than first thought. Well worth a visit and sample and buy the oil - it was delicious!

We always enjoy mixing a bit of 'industrial tourism" in our trips and we were not disappointed with this visit.
Passionate people showing how they make olive oil in a very well run shop. Very interesting to hear the story behind the bottle of olive oil you buy in your local supermarket.

If you ever wondered what is the difference between extra virgin oil and virgin oil it is the place you should visit. Friendly staff will show you how the olive oil production process looks like. Entrance is free (as of June 2017) and there is also a small shop with local olive oil.
