I arrived here by chance, because I had a conference in the nearby Holiday Inn and I found this as the closest place... haw lucky I was! The bamboo house are brand-new, very clean, and the separated house preserved your privacy. You can enjoy ayurvedic massages, the beach has less people than in front of the nearby big resort, the nearby restaurant is one of the best ones on the beach. All the people are extremely helpful. And, more, you have the wi-fi, so this is a great point if you have to work.
The price is a bit high, but it is a good deal given the price of the nearby resorts, and finally you would not regret to have chosen the Bamboo House!
Just a point of caution: there are some very kind and playful dogs in the property, and there are some wild (and a bit dangerous) dogs on the beach, but during the day is not problem, and during the night better have a stick (that is enough).

A real gem. The beach is quiet and secluded, the cottages and gardens are clean and tastefully done. The shack has great food and great views of the Indian ocean and Sal river / estuary. Can't beat watching Dolphins less than 50 mts away from the beach while having breakfast / lunch. The staff is extremely hospitable, friendly and efficient and really makes one feel at home. Can't wait to head back.

After a hectic 6 days in north goa during new years 2011 my friends and I decided to drive south and spend a night at a south goa resort before driving back home to Bangalore city. We usually stay at Palolem beach when in south goa and this time around since we did not have a prior booking we decided to drive along side the waterfront from Madgao and find a new resort on the beach at either Colva, Cavolisem or Mobor beach.

Along the way we did pass several star properties however since this was just after the new year we didn't even try and stop to check for availability since we knew the pricing would burn a huge hole in our pants. We were using google maps to find resorts along the beach front and after 3 or 4 unsuccessful attempts either due to price or availability we finally drive up to the leela property and there on the map notices this place bamboo house which seemed to be out last option for relaxation on our holiday.

Once we got there we were glad we didn't find any other place along the way. Brilliant location with the resort located right on the beach front and the backwaters right behind you. Excellent rooms with all the amenities in there, large room sizes, very comfortable beds with clean toilets and laundry and an excellent ambience. It has a great Resteraunt attached, excellent food the best that I have had in goa especially for the fresh sea food and perfect portions that keeps you craving for more. The beach is great, very private, clean white sand and the water is great and not to rough to get into. Excellent staff who makes you feel at home and great to have a conversation with. If you are lucky you get to see dolphins and also swim with them.

To bad it could only last a day and if we had gotten there sooner but definately a place I would go back to. It was worth the 3 hrs we spent on the road in the dreadful heat trying to find the perfect place.

After 3+ weeks traveling in India, this was the perfect, quiet grand finale. This place had the best accommodations of our entire trip which included styling at relatives houses.

Hot water, showers, mosquito nets, soft bed mattresses, soft pillows, a good restaurant, peace and quiet, beach access, beach huts, beautiful landscaping, et al.

There is no actual spa there. There's just a dude that massages you on your bed. The circumstances are odd. The massage was adequate.
