The view of the beach is amazing at this beachside restaurant but the food & service is average and depending on the weather it can get chilly in the evening when the temperature drops although they do offer blankets.

Have passed this restaurant many, many times walking to and from the beach; it always looks so smart and is in a prime location. Decided, without reading any reviews-big mistake, to book for Sunday lunch. We arrived on time, but stood around being ignored till I approached the waiter and our table was indicated. We had quite a long wait for menus. Our drinks orders were taken, but again a long wait before any drinks arrived and he refused to take the food order saying a waitress would come. They were probably short staffed in the kitchen as the two waitresses studiously avoided our table and eye contact so they didn't have to take our order. When eventually one did come she informed us that two of the dishes were off, it would have been more sensible to tell us that when we were given the menus. I ordered Portuguese steak and specifically asked for it to be well done. It was tender, but only medium/medium rare so I left a lot of it. My husband and friends food was OK. One of my friends asked for the bill. Some time later the same unsmiling waitress asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu! Yes there is a good view, but that doesn't make up for the just average food and the bordering on rude staff. We certainly won't be going again.

Booked five days ahead, name taken and table in window nominated ok. Arrived Sunday evening 10 Sept, 7.30, on time. Firstly, noted my table was occupied by four other people. Pointed this out to the staff member who had booked the table. She said she had mixed up the table numbers!! A likely story it seemed. Then she gave us an alternative 'reserved' table. Despite speaking to two members of staff, we were ignored for 25 minutes. Then we were asked did we need water. Yes. Shortly after, the wine order was taken by a staff member, in a scruffy shirt . I pointed out the red wine number on the wine list that I wanted. Still no approach to give food order. The water arrived and was poured. The wine guy returned, with the incorrect wine, a bottle of white. Time now 8.15 pm and still no food ordered. At which point we walked out.
It was obvious to us that there were few staff, not uniformally dressed, not at all smart, continually at cross purposes with each other and quite noticeably unhappy with their lot. TO BE AVOIDED At ALL COSTS.

Extensive menu particularly strong on fish dishes. Fish cataplan for two is highly recommended (Portuguese fish stew with vegetables) but could have been accompanied by some bread. Wines are expensive compared to other local restaurants. Service is relaxed but friendly. Music was good.

Stopped for little snack and coffee. Waitress brought menus and we ordered coffee and shared tuna sandwich. She took our order with browsing eyebrows.
View was beautiful, sandwich delicious and good sized, enough for two person. This is the only reason for two stars.
When we got the bill, she just put it on the table without saying nothing.
Don't waste your money to this place. It's also expensive when compared to Lagos prices.
