I am giving an excellent rating for the Nautilus Hotel - overall, it was a relaxing stay and represented good value for money. This was also my first trip 'Solo'.

I was there for a short 4 night break in early October.

The Food
I went All Inclusive, which was well worth the extra cost. The food was pretty good I thought - I'm not sure why other people on this website are complaining! Sure, it's not Michelin quality, but I wouldn't expect that. Naturally, it was largely Greek-cuisine, so if you're looking for your pie and chips, then find somewhere else. I thought the food was good quality and, as you serve yourself, you can eat to your heart's content.

The Accommodation
The accommodation was basic, granted, but importantly it was clean. The walls do seem a little thin - it was fairly easy to hear people in the other room. So much so, that one night I actually heard an English couple having a bit of a domestic! Otherwise though, I slept well.

The Facilities
Out the back of the hotel, facing the sea, is a pool with a bar (and yes, All Inclusive means unlimited drinks!). The pool was clean and the number of sunbeds seemed to easily meet the capacity of the hotel, although I did visit out-of-season, so it might be busier during peak times. There was a pool table and a lounge area inside too.

The Staff
Very friendly and helpful staff - couldn't fault them. Then again, Greek people always seem pleasant, so I was hardly surprised!

The Other Guests
For Solo's, I feel this is an important thing to comment on. I found that the large majority of the people there were either middle-aged couples or retired couples. In fact, I reckon I was the only 20-something guest there. You will not likely find many 'party-goers' here, which was exactly what I wanted.

The hotel seems to cater mainly to German and English tourists, although there were probably more of the former than the latter. I will say this - I actually found that the English couples in their 50s were a little embarrassing to be around. I'm not sure why, but English tourists seem to be just plain stupid - they struggle with simple concepts such as 'controlling alcohol consumption' and 'keeping the noise down' (the couple arguing throughout the night is a case in point!). Clearly, I was unlucky enough to stay at the same time with the simple-minded 'Brexit-lot'.

The German tourists on the other hand were much more civilised - so naturally, I spent a lot of time with them! Regardless, it's hardly the hotel's fault, or any hotel's fault, for the 'luck of the draw' with it's guests.

Summary
Overall, it was a great stay and I would probably go again. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday by yourself and you're nervous about doing so, then look no further! The hotel really has everything you need if you go All Inclusive.

On the down side the room we had was pokey as was the bathroom, but the partial sea view from the balcony across Barbati beach more than made up for this. Mosquito's are a problem in this part of Greece so make sure to wear some insect repellent especially round the ankles in the evening. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and the food was very good, mostly Greek, with some pasta, chips and wiener schnitzel to please the Europeans, the salads were excellent and the alcohol passable. The decking area is a short walk downhill from the hotel, has a bar that is open some of the day and is excellent for swimming and snorkelling. The hotel runs a minibus to Barbati beach 10-10.30 and 2-2.30 too and fro, and picks people up at 5.30, Barbati beach with its couple of beach bars is upmarket and the water is clear. If you do go here hire a motor boat from the hotel or on the beach, 75 euros or so plus fuel, and head on up the coast past the multi million pound villas of the wealthy.

Room tip: the side sea view was good,

Just returned back to wet cold scotland after having the most relaxing week of my life. Where do i start on this place from the friendly staff to the lovely greek food and cake hour from 4-5pm to the peace and tranquilty by the pool and decking area which were amazing...If your looking to get away and recharge the batterys after living in the hustle and bustle of a busy town or city then this is the place to go and i would highly recommend for couples as its more an adults only hotel...Mini bus runs into supermarket and barbati beach 3 times a day provided by hotel also green bus every hour outside will take you to corfu or ipsos etc for £2-40.Bar staff are great and there is no waiting around for drinks etc..Cleaners are a bit loud in the morning but who cares.Rooms cleaned every day and views of balcony are unreal. We will defo be going back..Thank you hotel nautilus untill next time 👍👍

I am giving it an excellent rating as that is what our holiday was and not necessarily for the hotel itself.
Firstly the room we had ( block above pool ) was all that we anticipated and was totally acceptable. I acknowledge rooms can vary but our shower size was fine and it appears I sleep well on firm bedding. However do agree with previous comments that wall are not exactly sound proof. Room cleaned and towels provided daily ( other than Sunday)
I found the food to be of a good standard and of a reasonable choice. It appears to be a weekly menu and being there a fortnight thoroughly enjoyed my meals.
The staff were all welcoming and polite
We enjoy an early morning run followed by a swim but as indicated the roadway outside the hotel is not ideal so concentrated on the pool. The pool itself is of a fair size and we spent the vast majority of our time there. ( we were on holiday to relax ) I made comment to my wife at the time that there tended to be beds available at most times of the day and little evidence of beds reserved by towels etc.
Enjoyed snorkelling from the platform area. Okay it may be on a steep incline but it is only a few minutes from the pool area and who is in a rush.
It really is a place where you have to make your own evening entertainment. Fortunately we were there for the euro football championships ( added bonus of Wales doing well ) and enjoyed the company of a number of people of various nationalities.
Lovely hotel to relax or alternatively as a base to explore.
Would stay again but specific location precludes my early morning run and that is what I missed on this holiday.
However it was a lovely holiday and thus the rating.

As a relaxing holiday hotel I have never enjoyed a place like it, from the magnificent views to the ambience of my fellow guest's it was memorable. As in all praiseworthy venues there is a down side. Nautilus is no different, if you read thisAlbania please bear in mind the cost of your visit. Mine was all inclusive. The food was highly acceptable as was the service from the staff. The rooms are small and with the kindest thought do require a little TLC. But think! You only sleep , change and shower in them so! What does it matter?.
Nautilus is perched on a mountainside, giving it a unique panarama of Basrati bay and Albania in the near distance. The walk to the hotel decking is steep but we'll worth the effort .swimming and snorkeling is brilliant. If you are young and enjoy a rave or mad nights Nautilus is not for you. For peace, tranquility and total relaxation of the soul, it is. Am I going back ?you betcha. Sorry if I rambled but this place is like.....WOW!.
