Well maintained, this gem is a perfect getaway for sportsmen and sightseers alike. RV lots with power hookups cater to those who travel with their own room, while charming, well-equipped cottages are available for those who need a place to stay. It sits on lovely Silver Lake and fishermen and fisherwomen abound on the banks of the lake all day long. A small convenience store is on premises for needed supplies, but closes fairly early so get what you need while you can or you'll have to backtrack to Castle Rock, about fifteen minutes away.
The only drawback I could find was the limited amount of hot water. I showered on fairly low pressure for about seven to ten minutes before it started to turn cold. My wife waited for about a half-hour for her shower and the water had barely warmed at all. Make sure to leave ample time between showers and baths.
Other than that, it was a thoroughly pleasant experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who wanted a clean, charming place to stay.More
