The hotel is constructed at different levels on the hillside and the views are great. Very comfortable, quiet rooms with aircon and ceiling fan. The little balcony has a sea view and a basic kitchenette with fridge. The restaurant is superb and we had a top class traditional French Christmas Eve meal there, eating outside with the sea in the distance. Not good to stay too long if you are concerned about your figure!! The family who own it are very friendly and helpful.

We were there with our son (3) and it was ok, room a bit small for a familly, but big terace, very quite.
Cleaning...so la la...it is good that they offer this, change your towels evey day if you need, but after floor cleaning, a lot of ants seems to appear from nowhere.
The kitchen is on the terace, but you berely find some kniwes, spoons...whatever you need to cook. WE bought our own kniwe from Carrefour.
Definitely overprice for the what they are offering.

Room tip: big terase on the -2 floor

This hotel is situated in the perfect location to stage a hike of La Caravelle. The hotel is spotless and air conditioned with wide balconies overlooking the treetops, flowers and ocean! The family owned/operated facility also features a restaurant with a wonderful and absolutely delicious menu that reflects the chef's love for cooking and use of local ingredients in a French way!!! We would definitely go back... and definitely recommend a stay and or meal to all!!!

We returned here for the third time and intend to come back for a longer stay next year. Simple rooms with perfect sea view balconies each including a kitchenette. Despite all the wonderful attractions of the island it is hard to leave that balcony. Very reasonably priced and located far from mass tourism. The restaurant is superb. Understand this is not a full service resort. These are modest rooms, the kind staff is small and the price is right.

Room tip: All rooms have ocean view balconies.

Chef Jean-Paul Mahler, wife Helene, son Bastien and daughter in law Geraldine are preserving traditional French cuisine at it's best in the far reaches of the environmental preservation area of the Caravelle Peninsula in Martinique, just outside the small fishing village of Tartane. The hotel itself is simple, meticulously clean, and is situated on a hillside overlooking the bay of Tartane. Each room is equipped with a porch and kitchenette for those times when another fabulous French meal is too much food:)

Room tip: All rooms face the baie and fresh breezes.
