A lovely little dog friendly gem with amazing views right on the water, with a real home from home feel
Myself and my husband stayed in this cottage with our Border Collie over Christmas 2019 As you come down the lane and the cottage comes into view it immediately makes you smile. Then you see the views! The setting is stunning. The garden is enclosed, yes the gate is a bit rickety and old but it ads to the charm of the place. The steps at the side lead down to your own private beach. Everything you need is here. The kitchen has all the utensils and crockery, there is a washer dryer in the bathroom; additional bedding/blankets etc. Games and touristy info in the dining room. The conservatory is the main living area which has the most amazing views over Loch Ness and in the mornings the local wild pheasant passed through the garden. It can be cold when the heating is not on but quickly warms up. The extra bedding keeps you cosy at night. The location is good. Not too far from the nearest villages but just far enough. 8 miles from Dores and approx. 15 from Inverness. Foyers is just a few miles away. Unfortunately we didn't get to Cameron's Tea Rooms - well we did but it had already closed, there is always next time.. We would definitely recommend a boat cruise on the Loch, 2 of them are dog friendly, look up Jacobite cruises on Loch Ness. Glen Affric is a great place for walking. Nairn, a bit further afield has a lovely long beach and the 'Bandstand' is dog friendly & the food was fab (the fish and chips is more 'whale' and chips). There's lots to see and do; whether you want to chill and relax or have a base to come back to after exploring this beautiful part of Scotland the cottage caters for all. Turan kept in contact throughout our stay and was on hand in case we needed anything - we didn't but it was nice and reassuring. A great host, fantastic cottage and a setting to die for. Thank you

Lovely place to stay
Cottage is very nice, with private access to the loch. We come to Inverness twice a year. First time at this cottage and as usual stunning views great location, a dear was at end of road when we arrived that was really nice to see. So much to do up here just down the road is Cameron's tea rooms great for breakfast. Apple cross pass is a must you drive over that and at the bottom is apple cross inn they do stunning food looking over the sea front. Then the nc500 coastal route back to the cottage best roads in the UK. Next day short drive over to sky we did the old military road there then the small barge over then came back over the bridge. Then again back to this lovely cottage. We arrived to a worm place and a bottle of wine waiting on the table. We will book this place again in May on the motorbikes. Just love loch ness it never disappoints no matter what the weather is. Rain this time and still a special place to be. We have been here in red hot sun and - 8 snow and e very time its stunning.

The Cottage
Very pleasant and comfortable cottage. Loved sitting in the garden, conservatory or on the private beach watching the sun rise and sun sets, which are stunning. Cameron’s tea shop is worth a visit as food is cooked fresh and the scones are the best. Boat trip on Loch Ness and the visit to Urquart Castle was very good and the commentary was very informative. Didn’t get to see Nessie though!!. Dores Inn is worth a visit for a meal. A little pricey but book in advance as they are very busy. Again a big thank you to Turan for letting us rent your cottage. Will be back sometime.

The Cottage, Inverfarigaig
Beautiful cottage in lovely setting with stunning views over Loch Ness. So peaceful sitting in garden looking over the Loch watching the boats go past. You even have your own private beach which is amazing. Dogs had a ball down at the beach. Great location to explore the surrounding countryside and the lovely forest walks. Definitely recommend booking this beautiful cottage. Thank you so much George, Lorraine, Rico and Jett.

Secluded retreat with breathtaking views
Lovely peaceful retreat at a gorgeous location. Ideal for relaxing by the loch or for a base to set off exploring the surrouding countryside. Enjoyed fishing from the beach and having campfires in the evening. Left feeling fully recharged.

Had an amazing time
We had a fantastic stay at this cottage. My husband loved the private loch and fished every night while I enjoyed the surroundings and wood burning stove. We frequented Fort Augustus which has a fantastic butcher. We also thoroughly enjoyed a boat trip on Loch Ness, a visit to Urquhart Castle. So much to do in gorgeous accommodation within beautiful grounds.

Cosy little cottage in a fabulous location
We had such a wonderful stay in this beautiful and well equipped cottage, right on the shore of Loch Ness. I am also very impressed with the level of customer service offered by Turan. The views from the cottage, the garden and the beach are outstanding! We all really enjoyed the beach and the kids loved getting their feet wet. The Cottage is situated in a quiet location and perfect to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings. It is also in a central location if you like to eat out, visit, explore or go sightseeing. I can only recommend this cosy cottage. Turan, thank you so much - we didn't want to leave and are hoping to be back soon!

Absolutely Amazing
What an amazing place, we have loved every minute here, the cottage is perfect and ideal for dogs, lovely big enclosed garden, we fell in love with it straight away and felt very at home, it's so peaceful and quiet and the views onto the loch are outstanding, we are so glad we chose The Cottage to stay for our honeymoon, the private beach is spectacular and our dogs enjoyed a little swim! We have visited a lot of places whilst here including Fort Augustus, Fort William, Glenfinnan Viaduct and if you are a fan of the Harry potter series of films take a 10 min drive from the viaduct twrds loch Eilt and at the West end of the loch is the island where Dumbledore was buried, we went down Foyers Falls  which is worth the trek down and up even with the dogs, we went to Clava Cairns and saw the burial site 4000 years old that was worth a trip  very fascinating, we saw Urquhart Castle but no dogs allowed so couldn't go in and was £9 entry a person. Eilean Donan Castle again spectacular to look at and fun to see where highlander was filmed! We went to lots of shops which were touristy but if you want something authentic then there is a shop called The Clog and Craft Shop near the Glenmoriston Arms on the A887 highly recommended! Thank you Turan for letting us rent your beautiful cottage, everything was perfect and everything we needed, we will definitely be coming back here again and have had the most wonderful time. Will be booking again for our first year anniversary!. Rachel and James Mr and Mrs Donnelly! Bear and Raven (dogs!)
