This is a really nice hotel, very reasonably priced. Contrary to other reviews, you can get here by bus from Cagliari very easily (only €2), and the surrounds were fine for the couple of days that we were there. If we'd have stayed longer, I think renting bikes would have sufficed nicely.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and my (very) rusty Italian was barely needed. The breakfasts were really nice, and the flamingos are literally just behind this hotel which we loved. Really nice pool - very quiet and no probs getting a sunlounger - I think we may have been staying at a quiet time. The area is peaceful, there's a good gym (maybe slightly dated but everything works fine).

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone interested in staying around this area.

Room Tip: If you can, get a room overlooking the pool.

As a solo holidaymaker I wasn't sure what to expect, but I had a lovely week. The staff were excellent, the breakfasts plentiful and the pool and gardens lovely, clean too. It helped that I speak Italian quite well, other Brits did have some problems with the language. It was quiet at night and the aircon worked well, so I slept well. It's not the sort of place that attracts the unruly element, so very civilised. I would recommend

Stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. We enjoyed every minute.
You will have to be up early to get a sun bed at the pool!

We have just returned from this hotel in Capoterra, Sardinia. We travelled with our 7 year old son for 13 nights. The room was spacious, very clean and the bed very comfortable. The beds are quite hard and large, and our son had a fold away bed, which he said was very comfy. The pillows are a bit flat and soft, so if you prefer a more 'plumped up' pillow, then ask at Reception for a second one. We were in a ground floor room, which faced the swimming pool. We could just literally walk 10 steps and be in the beautiful pool!
The rooms are spotlessly clean and are serviced daily. There is a kitchenette in the rooms. There is a little fridge with a stocked mini bar. There are 2 hobs, although we didn't use them. But, there are NO utensils or equipment whatsoever. However, we brought our own travel kettle and all the bits we needed to make a cuppa, so that was all we needed. We did notice though, that our kitchenette wasn't cleaned once, even though we'd left the cupboard housing the apparatus open for the cleaners to wipe around. The sheets on the bed were changed about every other day and all towels were changed daily. We also paid a 15 Euro deposit at Reception for 3 pool sunlounger towels that you could use by the pool, so that saved our beach towels getting wet and we could just keep them in the hire car.
We had booked a half board option so breakfast is buffet/self service style and evening meal was table service. Breakfast is continental style and plentiful and the evening meal is a slightly limited menu. Although, what we had was pretty tasty, the evening meal was 3 courses: a pasta or risotto to start, and maily either fish (seabass, salmon, cod, tuna) or meat for main, (usually veal or pork in a sauce) with 1 side order of tomotos, lettuce, peas, carrots) and a light desert such as creme caramel, panacotta, gelato or fruit. Having dinner on site is sometimes easier (especially with a child), as there weren't many restaurants closeby, so after a day of sightseeing etc, it was more convenient for us. Although, a nearby Pizzeria does a really tasty pizza for 4 Euros. It's just opposite the deSpar shop.
The local area is a residential suburb which is close to Cagliari and near to a huge type of oil refinery! However, the grounds of the hotel were so well looked after, (and we paid extra to have a view of the pool), that we certainly could have been anywhere in the world. The location is excellent for Cagliari, which is about 20 minutes away and worth a visit, and only about 25 minutes heading southwards, is Nora beach. We also visited the Marine centre there, our son really enjoyed it. You can also canoe there as well, but that may be more suited to older children. The tour is in Italian though, but you get the gist of what they are saying!
You most definately need a car, as the hotel is sort of on the outskirts of Capoterra town itself, so the petrol station and cash point are about 3 Km away. In the immediate area, there is a large deSpar shop in a little shopping centre. There are a few other little shops selling t-shirts, homewears and a hairdressers! The little gem of a place is a bar called 'Livingstons', at the bottom of the shopping centre on the right hand side. It serves rolls, salads and pastries etc. We bought our pre-prepared lunches from here and headed out to the beach for the day. (Not all beaches are 'serviced' with cafes etc). In fact, that is what makes them so appealing!
Expect to pay for parking at beaches though, about 6 or 7 Euro for the day in the places we went to: Nora and Chia. Both are fantasitc sandy beaches and the crystal clear waters are amazing. You don't have to wear a snorkel or mask to see all the little fish in the water, you can see right to the bottom. Don't bother at all with the local beach by the hotel, La Maddelena. It's okay but when you compare it to other beaches further afield, then you'll understand what I mean.
I would definately recommend this hotel, it's small and quiet. It's an excellent base to explore. It's more like a good, solid 4 star hotel. Even in the height of summer we got a sun lounger if we wanted one. The staff get you know you quickly, especially in the Restaurant and were so welcoming! We feel relaxed, chilled out and thoroughly spoilt from our hotel experience! We'd go back here again but just make sure you hire a car, you will miss out on so much more the island has to offer!

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view and ground floor if you have children, access to the pool is so much easier!

We picked this hotel due to the fact it had such good reviews from the moment we arrived...... check in straight forward , the bedroom was spacious, clean and airy, had a small fridge and a hob in case you wanted to cook, the bathroom was also very clean, the downside was that the air con was not working very well but there was a breeze and the sliding doors onto the balcony made up for that.

Breakfast was fine a good selection of item, cereals, meats, cheese, fresh fruits, pastries, juices, it was well stocked and lots to choose from. However, Lunch and evening meals were that good, we only went on a Bed & Breakfast Basis so buying evening meals was overpriced and bland food, but that did not spoil our stay.

The pool area is well maintained and clean, you do need a car if you are staying at this hotel as it is not near to a local town as Capoterra is about 3 miles away, alos the nearby beach is simply not worth seeing.

Room Tip: room 59 is the best room!

Great standard hotel though, as commented by others, a car definitely needed as there is very little within walking distance! Hotel reception excellent welcome, and ongoing help - phoned to book us evening meal in nearby Pula (for example). Hotel food is adequate - sometimes a struggle for the staff to keep the breakfast buffet adequately replenished - and dinner in the evening was ok but restaurants in Cagliari and Pula infinitely superior.
Good sized small kitchenette in bedroom (including small fridge, sink and 2 rings - but no provision of cooking equipment etc. of any description - if you want to cook for yourself then take what you need with you!
Excellent general supermarket very close for all the provisions you might need.
Everything kept immaculately clean by pleasant, unobtrusive and efficient staff.
Nearby lagoon does mean that mosquito spray should also be packed for the evenings, but then that is true of most of the coastal area.
Only one free access computer available in reception area but this was rarely a problem, could become more so during height of summer holiday period.
Very quiet location, very little transferred noise from other guests
Pool great, cleaned frequently and good depth
