I recently stayed at the Worlds End for 2 nights, i was nice too see that the hotel has all social distance measures in place, everything felt very safe. The room was very comfortable and clean. The only real point to note was the TV was very small. Food was very good, breakfast and dinner on both days was of very good quality and fresh. When in Northampton again i have found my new home!
Just returned from a Sunday Lunch here and I couldn’t wait to post a review. We were sceptical after reading some of the negative reviews but let me assure you that you won’t be disappointed. Well organised and laid out, lovely friendly staff, great service and fabulous food. I can honestly say not one of us could find fault with anything. Thank you guys for a fabulous dining experience at a really great price, will highly recommend
Came for dinner with my mum the other week and was really impressed with the warm welcome and the measures set out. The tables were well spaced out and there was hand sanitiser available. The food was delicious (I had the steak and ale pie) and arrived promptly considering how busy it was. Our waitress (a younger lady with glasses) was so lovely and polite, we will be back!
We went to have a nice meal and had heard that this was a nice place to try. Wish we hadn’t really. Hand sanitiser on the way in and table spaced out ok in this current age but the table felt a bit sticky. Our hostess really needed to smile she wasn’t welcoming at all. A couple of the other younger ones were nice though.
No ambience, food v average but overpriced. Meal done within an hour and didn’t feel any inclination to stay.
Too many other nice restaurants around Northants to return here again.
Shame really.
As a senior hotel and restaurant reviewer on trip advisor for many years now I like to think I post an honest and fair review. Just had a meal at the world's end restaurant at Ecton. Less than hour later we're back home. Hand sanitizer available when you arrive, plenty of space between tables, plenty of parking, lovely building and modern furnishings but that's where the good ends. No candles or flowers on the plain wooden table, no ambience to speak of at all. Northampton is currently a covid hotspot so was surprised to see Staff not wearing face masks, our table had salt and pepper on it and some paper from the menu on it obviously from the last occupants so we asked for it to be cleaned. The waitress said its the remnants from their cleaning agent...really a bit of the menu! We decided to give them benefit of the doubt and ordered drinks, my husband gets a glass with lipstick on it. So we have to ask for a fresh glass. Meal comes, to say it was average was probably being generous. Lets just say its an expensive disaster we won't be repeating. We've eaten here before although it was some time ago but tonight will sadly be the last time. Such a shame could be so much better.
