The concept of this resort is fantastic, the "Slow Life Philosophy". The area of the resort is huge, and they have their own organic that grows many different fruits and crops, and were used by their restaurant. The breakfast was excellent, and very healthy. The room is spacious and clean. The resort is very green and quiet, very good for getaway from the city. I wish I could stay longer, I will definitely come back in the future.

The cabins are fantastic, some with its own pool, ideal for a small family or couples wishing some privacy. The food is to die for, with a wide range of local and international cuisines. You can unwind and relax in the spa and pamper yourself after a long day touring the area.

Because of the serenity, staff kindness, the quality of food and beauty of the grounds, I will rate this hotel a 4. If I were to base soley on the room, it would probably be closer to a 2 or 3.

The good...
This is a very relaxing hotel. You are about 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown Chaing Mai (there is a shuttle provided if you wish to venture in for shopping, etc.). The organic gardens throughout the entire property make for beautiful landscaping and terrific (particularly lunch & dinner) meals. Due to the size of the property, and the rooms being individual cottages, there are not a lot of people milling about, it was quant but enough to make you feel like you are not out in the middle of nowhere. All of the staff we encountered were VERY pleasant and we did our best to communicate even though, in some cases, English was limited and our Thai is non-existent. The meals were so tasty and it was obvious what a difference having fresh food from the garden and fresh eggs made. Note, other than beer and wine, there is no alcohol at this resort. The spa was amazing, clean, and prices more than reasonable (you could literally have 5 Thai massages for the cost of one US massage)! They even accommodated our last minute request for massages right before we left.
There is a very small pool for all guest's use and, even though we did not have one, I know there is at least one cottage with a small pool of it's own.

The not so good...
We had arranged transport from the airport to the hotel. After confirming our driver would be waiting for us, with sign in hand, he was late. We had to make 2 calls to the hotel before he picked us up about an hour late.
The other issue is with the rooms. Although very spacious and for the most part very clean, it was clear they were on the older side. There were gaps in the windows, mold in the showers, only 2 towels, and no safe. Wifi was free, but very unpredictable in the room (it was usually fine in the restaurant). Being as this was our form of communication back to the States, I considered it a flaw. If there was air conditioning it did not work. However, thanks to the (very dirty)ceiling fan, the coolness of the nights and the gaps in the windows we were ok.
There was a mini fridge in our room and 2 bottles of water were provided at no additional cost. We did need to ask for more water the next day as it was not replenished once we finished them.
If we were to return to Chaing Mai, I would consider staying here again.

We stayed 3 nights at this resort. The place is green, well tended and beautiful. The cottage that we occupied was very comfortable: great bed, awesome bathroom and great atmosphere. We ate a couple of times in their restaurant, besides the breakfast that was amazing, and the food was well prepared and fresh. We also got a massage package and loved the experience. The only bad thing was not to have stayed there more time.
