This was a great destination for a relaxed day out. The trail is a bit difficult in one place due to guard dogs and is not clearly marked but otherwise it's an easy hike if you need a day off. We were very spoilt by the waterfalls in Salazie so whilst this was beautiful it is not one of the best, still if you have a few hours to spare it is well worth a visit.

It's a bit hard to find the trail, and I think the locals have tried to hide the path a bit to discourage tourists from crossing the bean fields and damaging irrigation pipes, but it's worth the effort. The scenery is breathtaking and the falls are very beautiful. Not a hard hike, but you might get a little wet. No cost to go.

Enchanting site with an equally enchanting story behind the legend. Small streams of waterfall from the mountain range. Not the most spectacular waterfall but definitely intriguing. It's a major tourist attraction so try to avoid visiting same time as the arrival of large tourist buses. Suggest afternoon visit.

This spectacular cascading waterfall in the Reunion Island is about 500 metres high and its water leaps down along a mountainous cliff in the middle point between the cirque de Salazie and the Plateau Bélouve. It consists of several threads of water falling within the territory appertaining to the Salazie municipality. According to the legend, the origin of that freak of nature is to be put down to the fall into the deep precipice of a father crying on the veil of his daughter.
That curious waterfall makes the landscape concerned be quite uncommon thus offering an interesting view thanks to the natural beauty of the cascades. It’s worth therefore visiting the place.

A must see when visiting the island! We were short on time and could not hike around the cirque but seeing the natural beauty of this area takes your breath away
