My wife and I arrived at our holiday accommodation at about 5pm on a Saturday after a long drive through France. Our hosts had, at our request, booked an evening table at the small bistro a couple of miles away, and we weren't sure what expect from it. We needn't have worried as it was a delightful surprise: there was no choice of starter or main course, but that didn't matter because the salad starter and the rabbit main course were excellent. There was a choice of desserts, and those that we chose were good too. The staff were friendly and helpful, the price very reasonable - 14 euros a head - and the location, in the quiet square of a small and remote village in Provence, was an authentic treat.
