This is a reliable, consistent, well-run beach restaurant - only open 8:00am until about 5:00 - but check for special occasions such as Valentine's Day - try the eggs benedict, tortilla soup, lots more - super value, great presentation and service.

This is a large restaurant near the crocodile swamp. It was recommended to us by some friends. There are many tables inside, as well as tables with umbrellas on the beach. We had our kayaks with us and wanted to put them in on the beach with a restaurant that had good parking close to the beach. The restaurant was fairly busy. The service was very slow. We ordered shrimp ceviche with a cerveza and a margarita. The ceviche was brought out about 20 minutes later, before the beverages!

Recommended by a friend in San Miguel de Allende, Quinta Valentina offered preparations unavailable in other Mexican beachside restaurants. We tried the Camarones Gratinados, you guessed it, shrimp prepared au gratin. It was very good. We also tried the pescado con salsa de Almendras, which was a filet of fish with a white creamy almond sauce. Both of these dishes were different and very good.

Quinta Valentina is right next door to Pedro's Fish Tacos just turn to the right as soon as you enter La Manzanilla from Highway 200.

Come, spend the day, enjoy the beach, watch the people, sit at the beachside plastic tables. Eat, drink, enjoy the beach scene.

We had a wonderful breakfast on a Saturday morning - eggs benedict, Mexican style were excellent. The fruit plate was generous and tasty.

I think this is my favorite beach to visit each year. We pull up to the same restaurant because it has clean washrooms with toilet seats and toilet paper. The waiters speak English well enough to manage our order and the menu has an English and Spanish side.
The deep fried red snapper is crispy and salty which I have to order. This year I also had the Azteca soup. Usually it will come unassembled but this one came all in. Hearty tomato base with crispy bit of tortillas avocado cheese and sour cream. Yum
The ocean is gentle and sandy and goes on forever. Bathtub warm.
Only downside are the beach vendors that seemed more aggressive than other years. Usually we just say no gracius and they move along. This year a few were very insistent and we had to be rude which is not in my character.
I will still go back to la manzanilla every year because it is a little bit of heaven on earth.
