Stayed here with my wife for a night in february. Beautiful reception area, large rooms, very elegantly designed. Just loved the restroom with its strong showers. Every thing is clean and large and spacious. Extremely comfortable beds. They even provide juice while you check-in. Very friendly staff. Only hampton inn in the US compares to it. Should definitely have been 2-3 star rated. Don't know why they give out rooms for just 2200 rupees. Free complimentary breakfast too. Totally worth it. Just nothing to complain at all. Never thought such nice hotels will be in india at 2000 price range.

Probably one of the best and cleanest places to stay right now in Tuticorin. Ideally located next to the airport. Rooms are clean. Service is satisfactory. Food is on the expensive side compared to the standards of the hotel.

This hotel, which was earlier called Quality Inn, has been taken over by the GRT chain and the change is reflected in the service . Its located a bit outside town in a reasonably quiet area.

The room is well appointed and very comfortable, though a bit smaller than those in some of the other hotels in this town.

The lone restaurant offers a cosmopolitan menu - North and south Indian, Chinese and Continental. The food is really good but comes at prices that are rather high compared top other hotel restaurants in the town. I was disappointed when the " Thenpandinadu sappadu", which I imagined would get me a typical South Tamilnadu meal, included with a Thai soup, tandoori rotis and dhal makhni besides....It was a good tasty thali, but thenpandinadu it wasn't !

The wifi was not working when I was there and they told me that the licence to serve liquor is on the way. The staff were friendly and quite efficient.

I am a regular visitor to Tuticorin but didn't knew about this property. which came up recently. I discovered while browsing thru list of hotels on Cleartrip and was impressed with the pics. In any case I have stayed in GRT properties at Chennai and Mahabaleshwar and knew they have a good reputation.
Rooms as well as bathrooms were clean( I always check the bathroom first and they tell you all about the upkeep), and though not large was comfortable. Peaceful surroundings unlike other hotels in Tuticoring which are bang in the middle of city and market place. The highlight of my stay is the food. The room service was prompt and food was heavenly. Every dish I ordered during my short stay of 2 nights was right up there comparable to the best I had. Breakfast buffet too was very good, though all vegetarian (except for boiled eggs and omelette's) but each dish has a distinct flavor. All in all excellent value for money and I would recommend it to all the traveler's.
The only bad point in my view was they charge Rs. 500/ for the airport drop which is hardly 5-6 Kms away and it hurts even if the tab is being picked by the company. If they include free pick up/drop to the airport I am sure there will be no competition.

I understand the Quality inn management (choice hotels) has sold this property to GRT group and hence this is becoming GRT Regency any time soon.
If you are looking for a star rated, branded hotel in tuticorin this is 'the' place PERIOD. It is a swanking new property. However you feel the interiors are a bit run down with bad finishing. The club room is quite big with 1 waiting room and 2 LCD TVs (but availability is limited). The standard rooms are quite roomy and have different themes in different floors. The room service is prompt and my wife bet they served the delicious south indian food. Internet is Free but at times the WIFI is erratic (poor signals) which they seemed to have fixed now. The breakfast experience is awkward due to low fill rates they don’t keep the buffet selection and it is made to order. Normally the breakfast takes more time than expected.
Overall the staffs are courteous and very friendly. Since the other hotels are not up to the mark, this place seems to be the standard shelter.
