Came into town for a wedding....stayed at the new rockland motel. Motel has a million dollar view. Stayed in room 11 which overlooks the canal in the center of town. The view was breathtaking. Owner was amazing and always asking if we needed anything and if everything was ok. We could walk to all the shops and restaurants...couldnt have been more perfect. Thank you to the new rockland motel for making my stay a relaxing one....i would stay there again and wouldnt bother trying anywhere else......price was also excellent for what you got :)

We stayed there Sept 01, 2012, and got the last room. We would have preferred one of two rooms they have on the second floor but as it was a holiday weekend they were rented. Our room had 2 beds, 2 easy chairs with a lamp, a small table with 2 chairs, a microwave, and a frig. The bathroom was very small but very clean. The whole motel is non smoking I think but our room had a sign on the outside as did most of the rooms we glanced. The woman who is the owner is friendly and helpful. The rates are reasonable and it is one part block to the main street were there are many places to eat. Across the road is the lock 32, and you can see all the boats tied up there and watch the swing bridge open for boats. Not very deluxe but an nice place to stay.

Even without reservations they accommodated us. My kids love it so much there that they pretended to stay asleep so we wouldn't have to leave. The owners are a sweet couple who are very friendly and helpful.
