A small settlers' village of about 20 buildings, most of them moved from nearby, but some of them built from scratch. Some of the buildings are treated as craft areas, or artifact collection housing.
Some of the buildings were repurposed, eg some old building is converted into a general store/barber, and there is also a bee hive + garden. You don't really get the sense that the buildings were lived in or used, especially with the building layout. Thankfully, this also means that the buildings are fairly close together, compared to other similar villages which might require much more walking.
We particularly enjoyed the general store, the large collection of old carpentry tools, and feeding treats to a shy cat.
I noticed the flowers, etc. were done by school children. I enjoyed very much all the lovely flowers. The homes were nicely furnished with period furniture. Businesses had authentic equipment. Very interesting to see some I had never seen before.
The village is absolutely amazing with lots of rich history. Lots of stuff to see here, we spent 1.5 hours here. Great place to visit :)
We loved stepping into history at the Village! It was a great way to spend the afternoon. I especially liked the live animals integrated into the different stations.
We visited the village when it was decorated for the Christmas and holiday season. In the evening it was lit up and you were welcomed through the buildings that were so beautifully decorated. It is worth the visit.
Our family must make this a tradition! Beautiful decorative Christmas trees will put you in the Christmas spirit! Walk through the buildings and discover old fashioned, and new fashioned decor. Enter the draws and you even win something special. Santa Claus is always a welcome addition.
