The owner of our arranged accommodation didn´t turn up to let us in so Bruce and Kate rescued us by letting us stay at their place. Their hospitality made us want to stay there for the rest of the trip.
Basic backpackers sleeping area, nice kitchen / lounge area.

Stayed: January 2010, travelled with friends

Ten of us Old Ducks came to Great Barrier Island for five days tramping and fun. Our fantastic experience was enhanced in no small way by the wonderful warm generous and friendly hospitality of Kate and Bruce of Crossroads Lodge. Kate even shared her lovely flower garden with us to decorate our hats for Melbourne cup Day at the Irish Pub! Recommended wholeheartedly by us all!
