“The perfect place to get away from reality.”
Reviewed April 5, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

This was our 3rd stay in Pateley Bridge and 2nd stay at Riding Cottage and yet again it delivered just what we wanted. A break away from reality just enjoying the beautiful scenery. Great walks for all, whether you just want a short stroll or a long hike then Pateley Bridge is the perfect place. There are plenty of lovely tea rooms and a fantastic Italian restaurant. Riding Cottage is extremely well presented, very clean and I can't think of anything the owners haven't thought of. Sarah, Stephen & Celine from Peterborough

“A real home from home”
Reviewed February 7, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Me and my husband spent a month here and loved it. Based in a lovely quiet town and surrounded by fabulous Yorkshire countryside, the location is great. The cottage itself was very clean, tidy and homely with good facilities including wifi a smart tv. I would highly recommend a stay here and we'll certainly be staying again

Myself hubby and Bentley (bunny)travelled to Riding Cottage on Christmas Eve.The cottage is a mews style cottage and very spacious. It is even 9 paces from the pub.
The cottage was decorated for christmas and was lovely and cosy.It was equipped with everything you could possibly want.
The lounge area was lovely , beautifully decorated and very comfortable.Again it had everything you could need, tv, books walking maps, wi fi.
Downstairs there is a cloakroom toilet which is ideal for families.
Upstairs there is a lovely bathroom and two lovely bedrooms, the master being so nicely presented and with a lovely comfy bed.
We had a wonderful stay and we will be back, the local people made us feel so welcome. We had a gorgeous xmas lunch at the Lemon Meringue tearooms.
Thank you everyone for a lovely stay , we will be back.Mr and Mrs Parry

Riding Cottage is outstanding value for money. Lovely comfortable kitchen diner, modern bathroom, sizeable bedrooms and a bonus downstairs cloakroom.
The cottage has been furnished to a very high standard, also equipped with top notch electrical, much to the teenager's joy! Smart tv, Wi-Fi and a blue ray player.
Washer dryer is also an excellent bonus.
We had a lovely stay at Riding Cottage, and I can't recommend highly enough.
You won be disappointed if you stay here. :)

Everything was in close vicinity of the property although Pately Bridge is in middle of Dales it's within driving distance of all activities available in Yorkshire great location. Perfect small accommodation for small family as we had our one year old with us very suitable. The only bad thing about the whole holiday is the pub next door runs there air conditioning all day and night it's pretty loud but you do eventually get used to it, but that has nothing to do with the accommodation very suitable and cosy for small families and romantic getaways.

I'm glad you liked the cottage and enjoyed your holiday. I'm sorry about the noise of the air conditioning from the Crown pub. I find this seems worse in the hot weather with windows wide open. The casing of the unit is old and cracked and it may be possible to repair or replace it to reduce the noise.

“Great place to stay, all amenities and beautiful countryside.”
Reviewed May 13, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Used this place as my bolthole from a woodland retreat I was attending. It was great to come back to the warmth and cleanliness of the property. All mod cons available and, because it was in the centre of Pateley Bridge, everything was just yards away in terms of convenience. Pub, shops, takeaways, cash machine, parking all within 20 - 30 yards of the property. That didn't make it noisy though, as Pateley Bridge at night (10.30 onwards) is very, very quiet. Bed was comfortable and warm, shower the same. Living space comfortable with good TV and a phone for land line calls was a great benefit as mobile phone reception is not good. Internet available as well. All in all, a good base to relax and explore the Dales. I would come again.

“Beautiful cottage in idyllic location.”
Reviewed April 18, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Immaculate cottage with absolutely everything you need. Pateley Bridge is a beautiful location, it was just what we wanted - park the car and not use it again till the holiday was finished. Lots of places to eat and some lovely pubs to quench your thirst after a lovely country walk with the dog. We will definitely be going back.
