“Lovely ”
Reviewed July 3, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Stayed for the night with other half and two kids, so we would have a fall day at go ape, brought our bikes up, place was big enough to store bikes in the cottage (although there was storage else where available, we chose to store in cottage as we was going to be coming and going over the two days). We came by train and the hotel/cottage was just up the road but far enough away you can't hear it, the cottage had everything needed form 3 bathrooms/toilets to a washing machine, very homely, breakfast was very nice and staff very helpful, there was a really nice bike/walk trail right next to the cottage and very close to santon downham where we enjoyed beautiful views on our bike ride, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely thanks for that and so glad you discovered how good the forest is for bikes I couldn't agree more! Runners too will love it or just a good old fashioned walk! Glad you had a great time and hope we might see you again. Very Welcome indeed.

“Spacious cottage”

We stayed for a long weekend with our two dogs. The cottage was very spacious, ideal for walking our dogs along the river bank and with Brandon Country Park 5 mins away in the car. The photos are slightly out of date as the cottage has all new windows and beds, which were incredibly comfortable. The garden is also fenced in which the photo's don't show, so nice and secure for our dogs. Unfortunately the conservatory was out of bounds as the roof was not safe, but there is access via another door to the garden. Only criticism would be, for a place that sleeps up to 8 a travel kettle that boils 2 cups at a time isn't practical. We did enjoy our stay very much and would recommend this cottage as a base to explore Suffolk .

“Very nice ”
Reviewed August 14, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

I stopped here with two colleagues. For the value for money I could not fault the place. Very nice, clean, showers were hot and powerful, abundance of space, good cooking facilities, short walk from the shop and a very good view.

“Quaint cottage, beautiful position.”
Reviewed July 19, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed here with friends for a night on route elsewhere.
Quaint old cottage, beautiful position near a river. Clean and comfortable, great having 3 bathrooms which all look like they have been updated. The only downside we thought was that the conservatory needed some TLC, needs a new settee!
Large enclosed garden which would be safe for children.
Boats available for hire should you want to explore the river further!
Kitchen has everything you need and the hotel staff it is managed by were welcoming, helpful and friendly.
We had breakfast in the hotel which you pay extra for. Well worth paying for, excellent!
Would be a great base for visiting the surrounding area.

Thanks for your great review and yes any of our cottage guests are welcome to come to breakfast at the hotel any time. You can always book ahead if you know you'd like to do that just get in touch.
As we always say on Trip Advisor it is great to have you as guests and for the very best rates please do contact us directly.

The conservatory is going to be removed in 2018 so the access to the rear garden will be easier and straight off the lounge

Stayed in the self catering cottage in the Bridge Hotel grounds. Matt Arnold is an extremely congenial host (thank you for putting up with us Matt!). Absolutely stunning cottage, 3 bathrooms meant no queues in the mornings/getting ready in the evenings (an absolute must for families or groups of friends!). We had our breakfast each morning over in the hotel, so relaxing to watch the ducks and swans glide past on the river. Loved sitting in the conservatory in the cottage chatting in the evenings (we put up some fairy lights in there for the duration of our stay, and it became a magical entertaining space!). None of us wanted to leave, we shall return. Highly recommended!

Thanks very much for taking the trouble to review and we're thrilled you all had a great time.

Do come again and stay in the hotel perhaps? The cottage is great but so is the welcome you get in the hotel and the breakfasts are wonderful too!

“Lovely cottage near London”

Brandon lacks a bit of charm but there's still some nice walks departing from the cottage, and plenty of beautiful scenery a short drive away.
The cottage itself is lovely and spacious. Clean, cosy and homely, with the nice added touch of fresh towels and beddings. Huge garden getting plenty of sun. Only downside are the pots and pans which are past their prime. Overall perfect for a week end away from London, highly recommended.
