This is not a hotel. Just air bnb. Looks like it was once a lovely home but just cheap and tacky and smelly now. The ensuite room is a shocker and not worth the money.
I give one star for the location as the Peaks District is lovely. But stay somewhere else!

Would definitely recommend this hotel. We had room 7 and it was the most comfortable bed that i have ever slept in. Lovely soft fluffy towels, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. No fuss check in and check out. Secure parking. Reasonably priced. I will be staying here again

Cracking little hotel your left to it and feel very secure. There is 3 rooms for visitors as the other 7 live there all year round. You get use of the kitchen which includes a fridge freezer and washing machine and your own cupboard which has a few ports and pans etc. The town is about a 15 to 20 min walk which is a nice place. The hotel is clean and tidy and has sky with all the channels if you want to chill in the room. It's a shared bathroom with one other room but think others use it from time to time this is the only drawback especially in the morning. But offers some nice views and for the price you can't go wrong.

It's a shame that such a beautiful building hasn't been done up to the standard it deserves. As with the rest of the furnishing of the building, the en suite room is in dire need of an update. The tiles in the bathroom needed replacing, as did the shower. Both looked very worn and somewhat grubby, which was very off-putting. The heating didn't work in our room. This is more a shared aparthotel rather than a hotel, with a shared kitchen available to use (which we didn't, so cannot comment on). No reception desk or staff - you have to let yourself in and you're left to your own devices. The entrance is secure, however. Lovely views of the Peaks from the en suite room.

The building doesn't have access to a lift if you are carrying heavy luggage, so be prepared to haul it up the two flights of stairs.

The building is a 10-15min drive to Buxton city centre, where there are plenty of restaurants, and close to the Peak District.
