I rented this villa with my children in January and we all had an amazing time. The apartment was clean, modern, well-maintained and very comfortable. It was a large three bedroom/three bath that made it easy for everyone to get up and get going quickly in the morning. Our unit was in the Marbella complex which had two large pools and an exceptionally large hot tub. Almost every night we were there, we sat in the hot tub watching the stars and listening to the waves crash on the beach just yards away.

About 100 feet out from the condo is the start of a very private beach that must be a mile long. We hiked to the end of it one day and were the only people there. You can wade out 50 yards and still be standing with your head out of the water. There is a more populated beach not far south of the Marbella resort that has a great little bar and grill named Bohia. If you rent a golf car you can park right next to it. In fact, since the whole Palmas del Mar resort is golf cart accessible, I would recommend a cart for the relax vacation feeling and the ease in parking .

Other things we enjoyed on our trip was the marina with some mega-yachts floating nearby, playing blackjack in the casino and all the excellent food and drink options.

I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a private getaway vacation where you will feel safe and secure. We will definitely be back!

This place is great. The whole complex was perfectly maintained, yet we hardly saw ever saw another guest, even at the pools. The condo was spacious and relaxing -- an ideal place to enjoy some Puerto Rican rum.

There was some construction underway on the Marbella beach, which they said was supposed to be completed soon. Worked out okay: we found a totally secluded beach extending north from the condo, and walked for over a mile without seeing anything but coconuts!

There are a handful of good restaurants in Palmas del Mar, but we liked the beach bar and pescaderia thing near the marina the best. Great views while sipping rum. Found some other great local food at hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Fajardo and San Juan. Also recommend the Bacardi factory tour!

Having walked through the other condo complexes in palmas, there's no question we'd choose Marbella again for our next trip. Thanks!

This villa is one of the best places to stay in Palmas Del Mar! The host is very welcoming and took care of everything for our stay. The villa is very clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay! Gorgeous views of the beach and the mountains to the north from the two balconies. The pools in the complex were never busy and most of the time we had them to ourselves! Would definitely recommend and will come back next year!
