The Star is in the precinct at the top of our street in Ossett. We have been to the restaurant for a sit down meal and we have also enjoyed a take away.
Very friendly staff only too willing to try and find a table even if you haven't made a booking. We have shared the pickle tray with poppadoms and then enjoyed a Korma with rice and Rojan Josh. Delivery service is good but be patient as the food is cooked fresh. All in all definitely recommend you give this Restaurant a try. Best tip is to book to avoid disappointment.

Got a delivery last night. Arrived after a reasonable time. Food was piping hot. The three different curries we got and also starter were perfect. Only tried Star of India a few times just for a change from our regular. I think they are now going to be our regular. 10/10. Brilliant.

Called in early one Sat evening. Only one other table in use. Tables covered in white and black linen. Modern Chairs.

The menu is as every curry house menu...extensive.
The food we chose was quickly delivered and almost as quickly devoured. Good tasty food.
The nan bread were bigger than those you get in the supermarket but not as big as the ones that some restaurants serve suspended on a hook. These nans were served in a plastic basket and to be honest it looked a bit naf. Would look better served on a plate.

The staff were efficient and knowledgeable.

During the time we were there another table was occupied and these diners brought their own alcohol even though this is a licensed premises! I find that rather unusual but the staff didn't bat an eyelid. They just provided the necessary glasses!
Overall a decent experience.
