Description: Star of India is an Indian takeaway located at Wesley Street in Ossett. Indian food is eaten in courses to create a complete and balanced meal. So why not start your meal with a very tasty Garlic King Prawn or a Royal Mixed Kebab. There are plenty of Traditional Curries on this menu along with some very popular House Specials, Tandoori Dishes and also English Dishes. Choose from the Set Meals to feed up to 4 people, an easy and quick way to order a complete meal.

The takeaway delivery service needs revamping...if they tell you it will be 45 minutes..it wont..* it normally turns up in an hour and half if your lucky its always twice what they say it will be which is a bit frustrating...just be honest with your customers tell them how long it will be then they can decide wether to wait or find somthing else.

The food when it comes is good but you have to decide if you can be bothered waiting.

Popped into here on a whim after a bad day at work. Was enticed in by their deal of £9.95 for 5 courses on a Tuesday night. Service was okay, not great, food was decent, not great, but it was the deal that made it. Had poppadoms, pickles, mixed kebab starter, special biryani and a keema naan. A great deal, but probably would not have gone in, or go back, if this deal wasn't on.

Ordered a meal via a well known website but it proved a massive disappointment. The meal arrived about 45 minutes later than predicted, this being some 1 hour 40 minutes from initial order - not acceptable at the beginning of the week. When it eventually arrived, the meal was tepid in both temperature and taste. I would never recommend this restaurant and will certainly never use it again.
