My husband and I booked 3 nights at the Colchester Harbour Guest House. What a treat, and a lovely retreat during a busy family wedding and other activities. Dennis & Anne are warm and charming hosts who work hard to ensure their guests are comfortable! The Legacy Room is beautifully appointed, with a lovely living room and kitchenette, and access to a private deck overlooking the beautiful garden facing the harbour and marina. Watching the many species of birds became part of our day. The Beneteaus share their appreciation of the area with personal historical and local knowledge. We highly recommend staying at the Colchester Harbour Guest House!

We stayed here for 3 nights in the queen room. There are two rooms upstairs one with two single beds and the other with a queen. We enjoyed the upstairs guest kitchenette and living room area with TV etc. The fridge was stocked with juice/pop/wine/beer and coffee/tea was available for us to enjoy.
But the real highlight is the view of the harbour from the balcony. Luckily we had great weather while we were there.
Anne and Dennis are wonderful hosts and every morning we were served something special for breakfast....
There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance (we only tried one - the Colchester Eatery)....it was nice to walk to dinner instead of driving. Also there is short walk to the beach to see the beautiful sunset.
We went cycling on the Greenway rail trail which runs for about 50 km from Windsor to Kingsville. The trail is about 4 km from the B&B on quiet flat roads...or you can park near the trail at different spots.
Anne supplied us with treats of muffins and zucchini bread for each day's ride. Thanks Anne!
We would return if we are in the area again.
