Insanely difficult to find, even with good directions. This isn’t the hotel’s fault. Barcelona airport doesn’t have great signage. Once I got there check in was fast and easy. The room was small but comfortable and very clean. Breakfast included made the morning of my flight extra easy. Not inexpensive, but I would definitely do it again if I had a late layover in Barcelona.
Small poorly cleaned room with weird configuration. Very little place to open you bags should you need to unpack. Shower door wouldn't close, kept opening inside while you are taking a shower making it very uncomfortable. Way overpriced for the quality of stay!
We had a very early international flight, and we are always worried about ensuring that we have no chance of getting to the airport late. We stayed in the middle of Barcelona for the time we were there and checked it the evening before our flight. I thought that we had prepared to try to search for the hotel based on the information on the website but even with reading the reviews but it was still difficult to find. We had to ask for directions twice and once you get close there are signs. My suggestion is to head toward the parking lot, and when you will see two long moving sidewalks you know that you are getting close. When we were there, it was very quiet. I might have seen maybe 5 other guests. They initially took us to a standard room which was really small. I had booked a suite and trust me, the extra cost is worth the space. We are used to small European hotel rooms, but the initial room was very tight. There is a small gym though I could only get one treadmill to work. There was a lot of room to outside the room in terms of a lounge which was nice. AC worked great. Bathroom was quite large. Could not get the TV to work for some reason but Netflix worked which was great. We left so early we did not access the free breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The food options presecurity were numerous and the prices reasonable. Just walking around for exercise was nice especially in the evening as the flights wound down. While by no means the nicest airport hotel that we have stayed at in Europe, it served the purpose we needed it for during the 12 hours we were there, and we had a good night sleep without having to worry about transportation to the airport. Would stay here again. Enjoy.
i like to say my own experience while visiting barcelona,in need to use a computer to locate my lost cellphone ,i was directed to this wonderful place ,where a such nice lady ,carlota, went far behind to help me with the use of their bussines center,phones,etc...she stay with me till the end ,until i got the issue resolved!!! excelent customer service,as well the gentleman in the front desk,sorry i forgot his name,but i will highly recomend this hotel and bussines center to the all world
On the "Good-Meh-Suck" scale, this was a solid "Good minus". The only reason to stay here is the convenience to BCN Terminal 1 for a flight the next day specifically, an early AM flight like we had.
The room was no frills. The bed was a tad small for a queen but it worked. Room was a little cool but that was on me for getting in late and not checking. It was annoying to hear people being loud going to their rooms late at night but people are just rude. That is not the hotel's fault.
Check in was great. The gentleman that helped us was awesome and gave us the info we needed to get to our airline easily the next morning (which was less than 6 h from check in!).
The breakfast was open at 4:30am. Basic but fine for a quick bite before the flight. We were able to get a free breakfast as I do not recall paying for the upgrade. I would not pay for this but felt we at least earned it for being there for such a short time and paying a tidy sum for the 6 h.
Overall, I would use Sleep and Fly again if I was getting in late and leaving early. Good luck!
