Positive impressions: beautiful, quiet place; view to the lake; the lake is warm (cc. 25C); the garden is hugh and beautiful; very good and helpful staff; high-class cousine
Very few negative impressions: there is no swimming pool inside; the town is far on foot

Superb Hotel with wonderful staff and service. One of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure to visit. Beautiful. Wonderful location with good transport links and the ideal place to unwind and relax.

Room Tip: Lake View is worth the extra.

If you think about a long weekend escape to relax and recreate, just go there. Yes, it is not cheap but definitely worth it!

- landscape fantastic (of course the lake adds even more value in summer)
- service fantastic
- wellness area and SPA treatments really good

I stayed there for a super relaxing weekend with my best friend, but plan to return with my fiancé as it is so romantic there. Just loved it!

I cannot agree with Cathusa about the pool facilities as I saw them cleaning the lake pool. Even though it rained on a couple of occasions while we were there it was still very pleasant swimming in the hotel outdoor pool
We spent a "Week of Indulgence by the Lake " and it was everything and more than we expected. The package we had included Dinner, Bed and Breakfast and vouchers for Spa treatments. These were excellent and the staff were lovely. Every evening, dinner which was a set menu with a choice of 2 main courses, was excellent and we never had the same meal twice.
While the town was about a 20 minute walk away there were other eating places nearer than that. The hotel was spotless.
The only criticism that we had,as non smokers, was that they allowed smoking in the bar.

Room Tip: A room with a lake view and balcony is worth it, even though there are trees in the garden the lake can still be seen.

We have stayed here for a week and frankly expected more for the price.
Our main negative experience came from the marina restaurant - there is no other choice for lunch ( unless you venture outside , nearest town being at least 20 minute walk away ) and the service there is just not good enough . One of the days we were told the restaurant was booked out for a private lunch event , and like i said no other option exists for the hotel guests. Half the time it felt that this restaurant and the hotel are two separate entities.
The dinner is good , the breakfast is excellent - both are served in the restaurant in the actual hotel .
Room cleaning service , twice a day, was also great .

Now on to the main part - the lake . Hotel has an inbuilt swimming pool ( pontoon top , no bottom ) in the lake which is a good option as the water is a little warmer in there than in the lake . But then the water in there is visibly dirtier than in the surrounding lake ( didn't see anybody cleaning it ). Nice choice of saunas , clean facilities , including a small snack and tea corner in the spa area . As we had a few rainy days , found it a bit weird that a five star hotel doesn't have a proper size indoor pool - there is a small one attached to the kiddies outside pool on the other side and that's it .
The water activities on offer are great and a lot of fun ( at extra costs).

Overall felt that it was def not worth the money
