This house is in a great spot, such close walking distance to the beach.
It has lots of bedrooms and plenty of space to fit us all.
We hadn't quite realised that three of the bedrooms were filled with bunkbeds, and only two queen beds for couples. It meant that my brother had to sleep on a bunk bed and he was pretty uncomfortable. I think it should be clearer upon booking that there are only two beds for couples.
We were ok to bring our own linen, however found that the underlays were unclean and had sand/grit on them - both on the queen that we slept on and also the kids' bunks.
There were two kitchens - one up and one down. The oven in the upstairs kitchen doesn't work, that is the place where the family naturally congregates so that was disappointing. Also we found condiments in the downstairs kitchen at the end of our stay - salt/pepper etc - they could have also been provided upstairs. Speaking of, there could be a bit more generosity in these - some sugar (it was empty), tea/coffee and oil for example.
The yard was tidy and the grass green and soft, great for the kids to run around on. Having two toilets/showers was very handy also. Some games are in the downstairs living area and they were good.
You need to be careful not to shut the door unless you have the key, or you can easily lock yourself out, we had to call for the emergency key! The agent was lovely and came very quickly, thank you. Perhaps two keys could be provided to visiting groups, and the agent keep a separate emergency key, just to help prevent similar problems in the future?
This house was perfect for our large family group with plenty of space to spread out. As close as you can get to the beautiful beach. Will be back!
