We were pleasantly surprised on how nice this Motor Inn is on the inside... much better than we thought when we pulled in... we had a main floor room at the back away from the street and it was very quiet! The room was clean but the bed was not very comfortable.. definitely is need of a new mattress. We had supper at the restaurant and the food was wonderful and the staff was awesome ...would definitely stay again.

Hi Pamela...
Thank you for the nice review; could you tell me which room you were staying in... I'd like to take replace that mattress issue.

We stopped in for lunch & had a great meal & service. The Wicked Thai soup was delicious. The garlic bread that came with the fresh Greek salad was phenomenal. My husband had the hot roast beef sandwich & he said it was wonderful too.
We also had a tour of the updated rooms & wow! For a small town like Espanola, we were surprised at the stylish updates. We will definitely recommend The Pinewood Inn.

Room 44 at the Pinewood certainly deserves a full rating. We walked into a nondescript building with a small reception desk and weren't sure what we might find as to our room. Suprise! What they call an Executive King Room on the second floor of this brick two story property was huuuuge! Clean as a whistle...believe me, I looked high and low...no dirt in this room. Gas freestanding fireplace, Tv/fridge in armoir, coffee table, overstuffed, upholstered loveseat and easy chair, king size bed with end bedisde tables, writing desk and leather desk chair, closet, large bathroom, Keurig coffee maker, and still plenty of room for hubby to actually do his morning exercise routine. All the walls were pine...not paneling, but pine! The furniture was heavy wood...some nicks and scratches but nothing significant. Bed was firm and cozy and linens crisp and fresh. Facing the front of the building and Highway 6, we wondered how the noise level would be. A bit of muffled traffic noise, but these brick hallways kept it so quiet that we heard absolutely no other guest noise! Unbelievable. Restaurant was cozy, clean, and well staffed with friendly folks. Prices were reasonable and food was tasty. Linch and Dinner only, though. Concerns: initial smell when we walked into the room (which we got used to after a couple minutes and did not notice except on re-entering) that we think is a result of proximity to the paper plant/mill, and the caulk around the tub is yellowing...not dirty, though. Wow. If all their rooms are this well kept and styled, why would you stay anywhere else? Sure beats the M......ts we have been staying at!

Room Tip: ask for Room 44...that is the one we can vouch for 🙂

this was our second stay at the pinewood. first time was a few years ago. we were heading back into Killarney and stopped here the night before.

staff friendly at check in.

this time we had a standard room on the 2nd fl with a queen bed, it was clean, comfortable and quiet.

free Wifi worked well.

Kuerig in the room.

TV as well but we didn't use.

Bathroom with tub.

Would stop again if we were in the area.

We arrived late so we missed the dining :(

Pros: Good clean rooms, motorcycle friendly, room recently renovated!, friendly staff, good value for you money. Ample parking.

Cons: AC in the rooms are old-they work but they're noisy especially if you have to cool the room while sleeping- TIP- bring ear plugs. The night we stayed there were many trades workers and their vehicles in the lots but they left quietly.

Room Tip: Good value for the money
