We stayed here for two nights en route to North Yorkshire and really enjoyed our stay. Sedgefield is a lovely village with lots of Pubs, restaurants and two Coffee Shops and even a dress shop. We visited Durham Cathedral, Bowes Museum and even went walking along the beach at Seaton Carew near Hartlepool, all these places being easy to get to. The cottage itself was very warm and cozy with everything we needed and the hot tub was wonderful and easy to use. Lesley, the owner was very helpful and made us feel very welcome on our arrival and we found the only downside was the small outside space.
We were working for a few days in the local area and needed somewhere to stay, but didn't want to be in a hotel because we needed space to work. We choose Cherry Blossom Cottage and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. the place is tastefully decorated with some lovely homely touches and has been done up very recently to a high specification. We didn't get a chance to use the wood burning hot tub in the garden, but it looked like a fun way to end a long day.
The rooms were very comfortable and large - again with good quality furniture and plenty of bedding and towels. The great thing about a cottage is that you can cater for yourselves and this place has everything you could possibly need - including a slow-cooker which was perfect for us to put dinner on in the morning so it was ready for us to eat once we got back from work.
This place worked perfectly for our needs, but would also make a lovely little holiday rental. Sedgefield is a pretty little town and there are plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs to keep you entertained.
An all round great place to stay.
