We were three couples without kids staying at this hotel. We chose this hotel based on the reviews on trip advisor and that it seemed a good deal for an all inclusive holiday, we weren't disappointed.

We arrived in the middle of the night to be greeted by the porter and reception staff. Check in was easy, and the receptionist spoke who was Turkish made every effort to communicate in English and we all understood the check in process.

The porter took our bags to our room - nice touch.

One thing to note about this hotel is this hotel is more of a complex, not a hotel. Its lots of different blocks of rooms spread out over the complex, and you walk to the main restaurant & pools etc.

We reguarly based ourself at the quiet pool, so never took part in the daytime entertainment, and we didn't watch much of the evening entertainment either as we entertained ourselves with chat and card games etc as their was a group of us. We did however participate in the Karaoke. Hiliarious evening. Both English and German songs, full list of English songs available. Just make sure you put your name down (and have enough to drink to get up and sing! :)

We never struggled to get a sun lounger or umbrella (and you need the shade it hit 43 degrees one day!),, reservation of the sunloungers was not allowed.

The pools were perfectly clean like the whole hotel, everything was so well maintained. The pools were all about 1.50m in depth so quite deep for some, but there were two kids pools (one by the quiet pool and one by the waterslide pool).

The beach was our favourite place. Loads of sunloungers just for the Alba resort, and then more for the neighbouring hotels of Alba Royal and Alba Queen. Lots of shade. Very clean sea water and refreshing.

The food was great with lots of variety. Breakfasts consisted of hot food, cereals, rolls, fruit, salads, and some specialists cook foods in front of you as you wanted. We had pancakes, fried eggs, omlettes (so tasty!), boiled eggs, feta bread. All delicious. You could even get a half decent cup of tea for breakfast!

For lunch we ate at the various options. The main restaurant again, which offered a scales down version of the evening meals. The pool bar which offered snack food such as turkish pizza, turkish cheese bread, chicken and chips, burgers etc. Then the beach bar, which we loved, that offered a wide range of things from pizza, chicken bagette, spring rolls, chicken and chips, salad etc. All lovely. We ate there a few times in one week we liked it so much - and you got a good breeze off the sea and a great view!

For dinner, the restaurant offered more than enough to suit anyone's tastes. Hot food, specialist hot food cooked on the grill in front of you (i.e chicken, lamb steaks, whole fish etc). Lots of various salads that were delicious, and then the desserts which were out of this world - especially anything chocolate based! They really know how to make great desserts at this place!

The staff were all lovely. They know some English and communication was never an issue. The understood most of the time whether you wanted a still water, or a sparkling water etc.. sometimes they got themselves in a muddle but you always got what you wanted, and they were really nice about it everytime. They tried their best to speak English, but the bottom line really is you go on holiday to experience a foreign country, so as they are speaking in English best they can - why not try and learn some Turkish - even thank you! Complaining about them speaking a lack of English in a foreign country is a bit naive.

Our room was of good size. The bathrooms were fairly small, but useable, and always clean. The air con was very welcomed, and changed the temp quickly when needed. The bathroom has a hairdryer fixed to the wall. Plus you get a small kettle in your room too. Please note though - the beds are very hard! Depends what you like, but for us, they were too hard.

The TV had limited English channels, but still a good range. From channel 33. We had BBC news, BBC enterainment, CNN, a few kids channel etc. We spent very little time in our room, but did have the TV on when we were getting ready and there was always something on.

The bars were great, the cocktails, although limited in range, did the job. if you wanted a pina colada etc you need to pay extra, however, the reception bar often did a fabulous 'special' that was included in the All inclusive. The reception bar was great for a drink after dinner, and the staff were good fun and very attentive to keeping you glasses filled. You can also access free wi-fi in the reception area.

We ventured to the hotel night club in the basement for a couple of nights during our stay. Great fun, great music.

We were concerned slightly about previous reviews on the number of reviews mentioning Germans. There were a lot of Germans there, but also a lot of English. We never had an issue with any of the Germans, they kept themselves to themselves and were polite etc when we did come into contact with them. They certainly didn't make an impact on our holiday, and all the staff ensured that they communicated with both nationalities.

The best night we had by far, was the beach party. The set up was amazing, a whole bar on the beach, with lights, music, and enterainment from the entertainment team. The atmosphere was amazing, and ended up with those remaining guests all running into the sea for one last dance before the end of the evening. remember to wear your swim gear to the party!

On check out, not only did the porter come and collect our cases (we've never had that before) but we got a bottle of water, and snack for the journey which we all thought was a nice touch.

All in all, this place was great. Something for everyone, and such a massive place you could pick and chose whether you got involved with the entertainment or whether you stepped away and just chilled out. The food had something for everyone, as did the variety of pools/beach where you could lay in the sun. Perfect. Thanks Alba Resort.

The alba resort hotel isn't just a place where you go on holiday, it's a hotel which welcomes every person who walks in the place and treats you as a best friend. I am 18 years old and went with my girlfriend and family, girlfriends third time and my first. The waiters speak fine English so I think so of these 3 star reviews are people who are incapable of listening and very picky. The animation team and waitering staff work very hard and build close relationships yet stay professional through yours stay. The food was good and wasn't ever ill, as Thomas cook fligh there it was English aswell not just german, around 60% English when I went, which the Turkish love! I loved this holiday so much will be going back in 2 or 3 months. I recommend this hotel to all ages for a brilliant holiday and relaxing time visit the alba resort hotel.

We pulled up to alba and were greeted by porter to take cases.Everything started so well. room was exceptionally clean and lots of room for family. It is beautiful resort and short walk to beach and round grounds is gorgeous.on 1st morning went to breakfast and thought buffet was nice but by day 3 you soon get sick of it.who wants pasta and wedges before 10 in the morning? 1 day there was omlettes and one day pancakes, other than that I lived on toast and kids had cereal. My son, daughter and myself were all sick at some stage of this holiday and I think it could have been the food. pool bar and beach side bar are best for food and snacks.
Most of other guests did not speak english. Some staff tried to understand you but others turned their nose up wen they didnt understand and on numerous occasions I felt so stupid. at times i struggled to get glass water.
animation team have plenty of energy and try to involve every1.they work very very hard. they made holiday better. evening entertainment is miming shows and really not worth wasting time sittin through. mini disco good for kids. there was a karaoke night and most songs were in foreign language so left early and sat watching tv in room.not what you expect to do on holiday.would not be recommendin to friends or family.

Myself aged 35 & my two sons aged 15 & 12 stayed for a week in June. 40 minutes transfer from airport. First drop off & no travel through the mountains!
Staff very friendly. Grounds very clean & tidy & well maintained. Rooms very clean. Beds very hard & uncomfortable. Both pools nice & clean & never overcrowded, Sunbeds always availible at both pools. Beach 5 mins walk with free loungers. Main restaraunt food ok, always found something. Breakfast was poor. Snack bars were great. Animation team were fab, always had time for everyone & very friendly. Night time entertainment ok. Great place for a chilled out holiday which is what we wanted. Wasnt much for the kids to do but they didn't mind. If you want somewhere lively its not for you. Would probably go back for the right price but would like to other areas of Turkey too!

Room Tip: Block 6 over looking the quiet pool

From the moment we arrived, starting with the bell boy collecting our bags we found not one fault with the service we recieved during our week stay!
The staff couldn't do more for us if they tried, and they didn't like it if you did something on your own. For example in the beach bar, the waiters liked to serve you, instead of you going to order your food and drink! Our air conditioning broke, although within 10mins of calling reception the men were at our room fixing it right away for us.

Our room was lovely! We were allocated two twin single beds, however, we pushed them together on the first night. In the morning the maid came, and instead of seperating our beds, she made them up as a double, so that we couldn't fall through the middle! We found this very sweet of her! The maid was fantastic, on a few occassions we wern't ready for her to clean our room, so she came back at the time convinient to ourselves, she even made patterns with our towels on the beds!

Location - well on the beach front and a 5min walk to the parade of shops what more could you ask for? We into Mavagat and Side both took approx 15mins on the local bus, but well worth the journey. The hotel amenities were fab, a choice of two pools, 4different bars, 3main restaurants to eat in - nothing to fault at all!

I cannot say what I liked best because our holiday was amazing, so to find one thing would be pretty hard! Although i can safely say there is not one negative comment I have about the hotel or staff!

Well worth my money, and we cann ot wait to return!

Thank you Alba Resort!! :)
