This is a quirky location in an old church school building. The renovations done over time are mostly excellent although the recent addition of an air conditioner in the main room was clearly done on the cheap.

The food quality was very good. We had breakfast and it arrived quickly and was presented very well. Service was good although it was not that busy. Speaking of which the main room can get very noisy very quickly once it starts to fill up.

As others have noted the prices are reasonably high but this kinda reflects the location in Brighton.

Stopped here for brunch. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was beautifully presented and highly flavoursome - not exactly cheap but so good that the cost seems justifiable.
The architectural restoration of this old building is worth a visit in its own right .

We went for a lunch on a beautiful day and found a table outside. The food was quite good and we loved that there was a small playground that kept the kids busy while they were waiting for their food. It wasn’t cheap - lunch for five of us was $70! The kids did order the “milkshakes” which were more milk than shake but still a nice treat. The food wasn’t quick and came out at totally different times. My son was almost done his pancake by the time my daughters and I got our food. My husband’s coffee also took almost 15 minutes. Overall, we liked the atmosphere and the food despite a few small shortcomings.

Early morning breakfast at 9am and the only people there, 3 of us. It took ages to get someone to take our coffee order. Food was good but not great. Having 6 people behind the counter after 40mins and NO ONE coming over to ask if we wanted another coffee or to clear the dirty plates so we left. By this stage there were 7 people dining in the cafe. Not good enough!!!!

Was on lunch time and we were walking past, so dropped in for lunch. Service was slow to start, but the waitress lifted her game once engaged, Meal was good, reasonably priced, we enjoyed it. The competition in Church St. is quite intense, so unless we try everyone else firat, I probably would not return, only becuase there is so much to try.
