Based on reviews, we had reservations for Hotel du Village. Just don't do it! No security, no 24 hour front desk, no curtains on the shower or the window next to shower. The doors to the rooms are interior doors as are the locks. The place is run down and unsafe. We left and went down the street.

It is right on the beach as you enter into Point Sable in Port Salut. It is currently managed by the same owner as the Rayon Verte which is across the street. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. There is AC and water (no hot water). There is no restaurant for this hotel but it is in the same space as Reposoir du Village which has a very good restaurant with great service. You also have Rayon Verte just across the street too. There are chairs and umbrellas for the beach (which is amazing). It is a bit hot and sunny but, hey, stop complaining! There is shade in the restaurant area. The rate is very reasonable $60/night for a single occupancy and $70 for a double occupancy.

Room tip: They are just about all the same.
