The Edificio Bacardi (the Bacardi Building) in Havana is definitely worth a look. Lonely Planet describes it as "a splendid art-deco relic of pre-revolution decadence, despite years of neglect". Well as at 1.1.06 it has been lovingly restored. Many guide books will say or imply that it is just an office block. This is not strictly true since you can pass through the marble-clad lobby and up to the cafe bar on the first floor for a Cafe Cubano or something stronger (NB inexpensive).
