The Sandon lies in the shadows of LFC and was the former headquarters of EFC and then the birthplace of LFC.
Originally EFC played at Anfield, and used The Sandon as their changing rooms and was their headquarters. When John Houlding the landlord of The Sandon and Anfield increased the rent, EFC would not pay it. He then evicted them and they moved across the park to Goodison, and he then formed LFC at The Sandon.
The Sandon is now 'the official Carlsberg supporters venue' and is visited by the most die hard reds.
It is a great place to visit after a stadium tour for a drink and something to eat - and even better to visit on a match day!
