Although St-Rémy-de-Provence does experience all four seasons the weather there is fairly mild compared to other parts of Europe at the same latiude.  The temperatures in the region during the summer months reach up into the mid to high 80's, while the winters rarely see temperatures below 40.  This climate, combined with an increased amount of rainfall in the fall and winter months, makes the area ideal for growing certian varieties of grapes and producing the wines it is famous for.

Most visitors come to the region in the spring and summer, with fewer, but still a good number, coming during the fall harvest season.  The winters are too cool and rainy for most visitors who want to enjoy the area's natural outdoor beauty.  The region also holds a number of festivals during the summer and fall months that attract visitors to the region.
