Savigny Eleven is a small family-operated restaurant/cafe near Savignyplatz in West Berline, (S-Bahn Savignyplatz, or about 15-20 minutes walk from Bahnhof Zoo, or 5 minutes from Hampton by Hilton). Food starts around 6.90 euros for pasta, most dishes are around 10 euro, only 3-4 dishes are over 14 euros. Some days they had specials that were cheaper than the regular menu. Mixed Grill is especially a good value if you are hungry. It comes with a nice salad and really good portion of three meats (hamburger, moist and tasty turkey steak, and lean chicken breast, all grilled) and a bed of roasted potatoes. The menu was in German, but the wait staff was happy to explain in English and help you select a dish. They even did not mind customers asking for a pitcher of tap water instead of ordering bottled water. They also accept U.S. credit cards without chips. They give out diners a copy of the menu which includes one free drink for your next visit.
