Beach fronted large detached family house commanding spectacular sea views from the rear and superb far reaching rural views from the front. A truly luxurious getaway by the sea. Price is based on two people sharing a room. On entering the property there is a ground floor entrance hall, separate utility room housing a washing machine and clothes airer, a double bedroom with a king-sized bed and large wardrobe, with views to the countryside. Adjacent to this bedroom there is a ground floor shower room with a walk-in shower cubicle, pedestal wash hand basin and lower level wc. The property boasts a good sized and well fitted modern grey kitchen housing a full range of utensils, plates, pots and pans along with a toaster, microwave, kettle, American fridge freezer and microwave. The open plan kitchen and dining area leads into the spacious lounge which has a 70 inch flat screen tv, a large leather corner sofa and additional lounge chair and a bar area with two raised bar stools, with French doors opening onto a superb two-tiered sundeck with spectacular sea views and leading down directly on to a private beach. The sun deck has a modern rattan table and chairs along with four sun loungers. There are three additional bedrooms on this level, one has a king-sized bed, one has a double bed and the other has two single beds, a travel cot and all with plentiful storage facilities for clothes. There is an additional family shower room with a shower area, pedestal wash hand basin and a low level wc adjacent to one of the bedrooms. At the front of the property there is off-road parking for several cars, along with a mature garden with shrubs and plants and a raised sun patio enjoying a rural outlook. Pevensey Bay has a dog friendly shingle beach, it is a seaside resort in miniature, a good place to take a holiday and really unwind. We allow one small dog to stay in the property but please note the stair gate must be put across and the bedroom doors need to remain closed to prevent the dog from going on the beds. The house is decorated and furnished very tastefully. Plenty of nice new fresh towels. It was cleaned thoroughly for our arrival and everything smelt freshly laundered. Hand sanitiser was provided in the bathroom. The kitchen was equipped very well. Plenty of everything so no need...More

About the neighbourhood
To the west of 1066 country stands Pevensey Bay on the coast. Pevensey Bay is famously known as William of Normandy's landing place in 1066. Pevensey Bay is an old fishing village founded in the 1600's as Wallsend, the end of the sea wall from Eastbourne. Pevensey village is located on a ridge of land, which juts out onto marshland and until the 13th Century the marshes were an inlet of the sea. Over time the large bay was gradually cut off from the sea by shingle and today the marshes known as Pevensey Levels, a large nature reserve, stretches for miles behind the shingle beach. A number of Martello towers were erected along the bay at the beginning of the 19th century against Napoleonic attack. In the early 1900's the village became a holiday resort it is today with much of the coastlin...
How to get there
Entry instructions will be given 6 days prior to arrival. We allow one small dog to stay in the property but please note the stair gate must be put across and the bedroom doors need to remain closed to prevent the dog from going on the beds. For guests who may struggle with the internal 12 stairs there is a flat way into the property just a few houses down and along the beach which brings you into the back entrance. The majority of the house is then on one level. Please ask if you require any clarification on access or layout.
