Le Clos is a stunning property. The house is amazing and has a lovely homely feel. The very large garden is beautiful with an abundance of wildlife. The property is in a great location and is close to lovely walks, towns and villages and is only 20 minutes away from the beautiful beach at Granville. It is ideal for visiting the D Day beaches and other attractions which are are no more than an hour or so away. The owners are extremely helpful and we can't recommend Le Clos highly enough. Once you're there you don't want to leave!

This was a return visit to Le Clos at Fleury, Manche, and it did not disappoint. The gite is charming and very well-equipped as well as being spacious, warm and comfortable. Le Clos is set in its large garden where an abundance of wildlife can be seen both there and down the track which leads to the cottage - a real pleasure to observe. The lovely town of Villedieu-Les-Poeles with its bell foundry and ‘atelier de cuivre’ is only a few minutes away by car but all sorts of areas can be easily reached from this situation with great road connections just minutes from the doorstep. The Normandy Beaches are amongst the many attractions within easy reach and we actually drove east to Monet’s house and garden at Giverny which was a wonderful experience. There are several markets held weekly in the area. We can not recommend this beautiful gite highly enough.

Many thanks for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you had another great stay at Le Clos and enjoyed everything that the house and local area has to offer. It sounds like the red squirrels and hares made their regular appearance! Thank you too for looking after the house so well. You are, of course, very welcome to return any time. Merci beaucoup!

We enjoyed a great week here as a family. The gite is beautiful, clean and well maintained, with lovely additional touches such as bikes and helmets and garden toys in the shed. Huge master bedroom with triple aspect windows and en suite with bath. Comfortable twin and small double room with cot. Lovely shower room upstairs and convenient downstairs loo off the utility room. The children particularly liked the little shop with honesty box in the utility room, and the gem dispenser and the table football were both huge hits. The location was brilliant, close to the beaches, d day museums, and Bayeaux. The highlight of our trip was the lovely local zoo, one of the best we’ve visited, with an excellent onsite restaurant. Our teenager would have preferred to have WiFi, but we were happy to switch off, and it gave us an excuse to drag him with us to town. Lovely gite, which we’d highly recommend, and look forward to returning to explore more of the countryside.

This was not our first visit to Le Clos and it was great to return after a few years. The property is (still) most spacious and there is everything we needed in the property. The garden and surrounding village are excellent for the two young children in our party. Fluery has a well stocked Boulangerie and the nearest town (five minutes by car) has everything you may need; Tuesday is firm favourite for market day requirements. The countryside and coast are just fantastic for wildlife, birds and points of interest. Nearby Granville was special for us with many varied activities for all ages plus a number of marvellous beaches for swimming, paddling and beach combing. Absolutely and fully recommended and the owners were easy to deal with and very helpful

This was the third visit to Le Clos for my wife and I -- plus our Golden Retriever. As on the previous occasions, our stay was as enjoyable as ever and we certainly hope to return once again in 2017. Le Clos is always very well equipped --- particularly the kitchen --- which makes self-catering a pleasure. Being so close to Villedieu, it is very convenient to shop in the local market (Tuesdays) as well as quick trips when needed to our favourite boucherie and boulanger. There are also, of course, plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from although we tend to patronise the same one or two. Le Clos is well-situated for visits to the coast --- Cancale and Granville, for example --- as well as to the D-Day beaches and Bayeux. However, the lovely, huge garden at the property meant we happily spent most of our time relaxing there in the sun.

We are very happy to have booked and stayed at Le Clos. We research locations we travel to in great detail, and are still often disappointed by the properties we have booked. As many owners overstate details, and often use outdated photographs. This is not the case with Le Clos. It was better than described!

An absolute delight, beautiful cottage at the end of a country lane. Myself and my husband were very impressed from the moment we saw it and it certainly delivered inside as well. If peace and quiet is what you are looking for you won't be disappointed having said that it is located within many attractions Normandy has to offer, Bayoux- war memorial. Granville- a delightful seaside town, villedeou les poles itself is lovely and only a short drive away. The cottage itself is of a very high standard, equipped with everything you will ever need it's truly an home from home. For a couple or larger family you will love staying here I'm sure as much as we did, the only downside was having to come home.

This is not the first time we have spent time at Le Clos and were delighted to return; over for an extended family celebration with people from two to 80+ the property met our need wonderfully with toilets on both floors (incl en suite) and a dining kitchen large enough to hold us all comfortably plus a separate lounge for others to get on with things. Bedrooms were spacious and well planned for our needs and there was always enough space. Outside the patio area leading from the dining room was used well and there was a huge garden for the youngsters to play in, ample parking for loads of cars. The location of Le Clos is perfect being really quiet and away from other houses but within 2 minutes drive of a major round enabling quick access to places to other places and the supermarket is less than 10 minutes away by car. Around Le Clos there are superb walks and lots of nature around; bird life and flowers (depending on time of year). Masses of things to do - Tuesday market day in nearby Villedieu, Walk the coast at Genets, swim at Carolles, shops and buildings at Grandville and mega gardens in the middle of Coutances. Needless to say we will be back and many thanks for the use of your French home

This was the second time we had three-week stay at Le Clos and, as with the first visit, we had a most enjoyable time. The excellent facilities we remembered about the house were the same and our Golden Retriever immediately made himself at home in the large garden. We happily re-acquainted ourselves with the markets at Villedieu on Tuesdays and St Sever on Saturdays as well as buying croissants and bread daily from the nearby boulangerie in Fleury. A visit to Cancale chalked up a memorable "first" --- eating oysters (three for a euro!) and having a glass of muscadet ...at 9.30 in the morning! We also read that the camembert from the nearby town of Gavray had just been awarded the gold medal for the best in Normandy so that was worth a short drive to buy some. All in all, another lovely holiday at Le Clos --- and we certainly hope we'll be returning for a third time.

Le Clos is a welcoming and attractive cottage, sited down a rural lane and surrounded by trees and fields. Fleury provides an excellent boulangerie and for other provisions the attractive town of Villedieu is only a short car ride away. Villedieu is a very pretty little town and the market day on Tuesday is great fun and full of life. There are many interesting places to visit in Normandy, so one is spoilt for choice, but it was always good to return to the utter peace and quiet of Le Clos, with the soothing presence of the cattle nearby. We enjoyed a very happy two weeks there.
