This is a true big house, with large double bedrooms (no box rooms converted into bedrooms). The living room is a great space for the whole family to gather. The kitchen is fully equipped with both convential ovens and an agar. The dining room has a large table which seats c16 people. The bedrooms are large and clean and tidy. A great outside area overlooks a lake. Chirk Castle is within walking distance. An all around great property for a big family weekend away.

A stunning manor house bursting with charm and character. Ideal remote setting in large grounds making it private and quiet but close enough to a local town with shops and pubs. Masses of room and a great sized kitchen too. We had a reunion of 11 ex servicemen and all we did was chill out, chat, eat and drink and didn’t want to leave. This is a ‘lived in’ house so don’t expect perfection but it’s exactly that that gave it a relaxing charm. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped and comfy and allowed me to cook a large meal for 11 large appetites with no problem. Jo the house manager was a star and everything was sorted to exactly our needs. Unanimous vote to rebook next year but may have a few more going as we had such a great weekend.

Beautiful country side with lots of attractions around. Nice, big and clean house with all you require for a perfect holiday. The bad part is that they don't have a washing machine. So you need to pack many changes of clothes if you want to stay long time.

A lovely large house ideal for our walking group weekend away. Beautiful countryside on the doorstep, fabulous walks and lots of lovely historical places to visit along the walks. Chirk is just a few minutes away with some lovely places to eat and Anisa Indian restaurant were happy to deliver our takeaway for 14. It was so lovely being able to all sit together in both the dining room and the lounge, helping to make our weekend perfect.

The house has a welcoming atmosphere and is set in a very quiet rural area , it was nice to hear pheasants . It is well equipped and clean but we could have done with a larger fridge as we were self catering .Plenty of space for all the family to eat together and relax in the evenings in the cosy sitting room enjoying the cheery wood burner. The bedrooms were warm and comfortable. The high light of the weekend was a visit to “Rednal Go Karts “ the rain made the track all the more challenging . Altogether a great family get together which we hope to repeat.

We really enjoyed our stay at New Hall.We had booked for a family weekend to celebrate my birthday . The house was lovely and comfortable , family friendly and very well equipped . Great place for hide and seek! Lovely and warm, we did light the fire so it was very cosy. Bit surprised that we needed to supply our own logs as on the website it showed a picture of logs stacked both sides of the fireplace . Perhaps need to say you have to take your own. We would certainly recommend the house to anyone wanting a family get together in a large house full of character.

We had a wonderful weekend. The property is very comfortable and done to a very high standard and perfect for a large group. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the location very peaceful. The kids had fun at nearby Chirk castle. Nothing negative at all.

We have just visited the house in Chirk for my mums 60th birthday. We were a big party of 13 adults and children. There was plenty of room to accommodate everyone and every room had loads of space. Jo the housekeeper was very helpful in setting up extra sofa beds for us. We had a brilliant time celebrating and stayed on the site all weekend! The games room could do with a little update especially if you are taking children. It was easy to speak to both Mark and Jo who were very helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Hi Chloe, Thank you for reviewing us! We're delighted you all enjoyed your stay and would like to offer you an additional night for free on your next booking (minimum nights booking rules will still apply) as our way of saying thank you. We value useful feedback and as such the games room will now be receiving some upgrades in its toy selection! Best wishes Mark

The pictures don't do this place justice, all the rooms are beautiful and there is plenty of space inside and out. As a large group of guys this property was perfect. Both the owner and housekeeper where very helpful and quickly answered any questions I had. There is a nice BBQ area, with a covered area outside if the weather is not kind to you. The games room was good and it also had a very nice lounge to relax in the evening. I would highly recommend this property if your looking you are looking for a getaway in Wales !!

Fantastic house with lots of space set in beautiful countryside. I would definitely recommend it if going away with a big group of people. The house keeper was also really friendly and helpful when we were running late for check in. Five stars!
