Bell Cottage is a modern single storey, comfortably furnished, character cottage set in landscaped grounds on the outskirts of the ancient and historic town of Penryn, just three miles from the harbour town of Falmouth on Cornwall's south coast.

The cottage has a small, sunny private garden and its own parking space. It is an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall's rugged coastline, countryside and places of interest. Bell Cottage is equipped for two people and is particulaly suitable for persons of limited mobility, being all on one level. An amazing location and very well equipped cottage. Penny was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of extras provided. This is a true, comfortable home from home and we thoroughly recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing week!

Additional Rate and Availability Information
Rates vary throughout the year as shown. Changeover day is Saturday from mid April to end of September, other days out of the main holiday season by arrangement. Three or four night breaks are available from the beginning of November to the end of March, excluding Easter/Christmas/New Year holidays, also from the beginning of April to the end of September but these can only be booked within a fortnight of the date of arrival. Three or four nights can be booked at 25% and 20% off the normal weekly rate, but during peak season we are unable to accept bookings which span our Saturday changeover day. Bookings for 5-6 nights will be charged at the full weekly rate.

About the neighbourhood
Located in the landscaped grounds of Kernick Park (which means 'little corner' in the Cornish language) and overlooking the old Walled Garden, which now contains other properties set around flower beds and a central fountain. About 1 mile from the ancient town of Penryn and 3 miles from Falmouth, which has the third largest natural harbour in the world. There are several good beaches in the Falmouth area, lovely walks along the coast path and inland and many water based activities around the Fal River. Within easy reach of other activities such as golf, cycle hire, fishing, river cruises, sea safaris, sailing, horse riding, historic houses, castles and sub-tropical gardens to visit as well as mining trails and heritage sites.

Getting around
If you really want to see the best of Cornwall's coastline and countryside we recommend that you travel by car. However, there are good bus, train and ferry links to many places from Falmouth and Truro. A bus service into Falmouth runs from the road at the end of our drive and the train station is about three quarters of a mile away. If you would like to hire a car for part of your stay there is an Enterprise Car Rental office about a quarter of a mile from the cottage.

When a booking is confirmed we send you full directions for finding Bell Cottage. These directions are for guests arriving by car, but if you are using public transport the nearest station is Penryn, which is on the branch line from the main line station at Truro.
