We thought this was a marvelous place. With nice Italian style touches. Valeria, the host was very pleasant and helpful, regarding taxis to and from the flat for example. The area had a village feel to it with the small church and square by the entrance to the small Norman castle and the local people were out in the square in the evening. The High Street had friendly cafes and shops and there was a bus service to Catania (via Aci Trezza). The best part of the day was between 6 and 8.30 (in September) when, from the balcony, we watched the small boats fishing in the bay and the sunrise and cloud formations to the east over the sea. No sandy beach and swimming was off rocks by the castle or by the seafront towards Aci Trezza. However we loved this place.
