Town: Corbridge is a charming ancient village in Northumberland, England, with many interesting features, such as quaint shops, traditional pubs, and a bridge over the river that dates back to the 12th century. Hexham, just a few miles away, is a beautiful market town with small, bustling streets, a wide variety of shops, and an intriguing abbey with 15th-century paintings and a superb Saxon crypt, as well as Hadrian's Wall and Housesteads Fort. The Gateshead Metro Centre, one of the largest retail centres in Europe, is only 20 miles to the east, and the Border Country, Northumbrian shoreline, Kielder Forest with cycling and watersports, Beamish Open Air Museum, and Durham Cathedral are all easily accessible by car.
